SM's hallyu horde, Super Junior, turned in their dancing shoes for some acting chops in the drama MV of their next single, "It's You". The release of this unique music video coupled with their victory at Music Bank adds up to an extremely successful couple of days for any band.
The concept seems to be a Hitchcock-esque single take of the thirteen members angsting it up with dramatic phone slams and heartgrabs. Either the editing is really seamless, or Super Junior has secretly evolved into a well-oiled acting machine - thirteen people executing a 4:00+ shot is no walk in the Park Myung Soo. Donghae really sticks out here with some grandiose "ugh I'm in such agony I must feel my hot body" gestures at :36 and 3:33.
Someone really needs to tell singer-specialist Yesung that his heart is on the LEFT half of your chest though.
While all the other members have their palms/fists over the middle or left part of their chests, Yesung's fist clenches the mysterious heart located on the right side of his chest. Unless he has some situs inversus going on (where your body symmetry is reversed), someone needs to teach him some anatomy. Although, I have to say his naïveté is almost endearing. Almost.
Promotions for "It's You" are scheduled to begin on May 17th at SBS Inkigayo.
