We will not be seeing ‘festive holiday idols’ KARA on TV this lunar new year.
KARA, who has earned the nickname of ‘festive holiday idols’ for appearing on many broadcast shows for the previous lunar new year and mid-autumn festival, will not be appearing on any broadcast programs this lunar new year. The reason is that they are currently preparing for their 2nd full length album comeback.
Last year, whenever it was the festive holidays, KARA would appear on many broadcast shows with their various cute performances which were all very well received by TV viewers. And being active on the festive special broadcast programs also played a role in calling KARA as one of the top girlgroups in Korea. But with their no-show for broadcast shows this festive holidays, it will be quite a disappointment for fans.
A representative said, “They will be flying to Japan on 5th February to prepare for their Japan showcase. Since most of the special broadcast shows will be filmed during the period when KARA will be in Japan, hence it will be hard to arrange for their appearances of the shows.”
The rep also added, “The girls’ 2nd full length album comeback will be after the lunar new year consecutive holidays. Under the conditions that the girls are not even getting enough time to practise, it is impossible for them to appear on the festive special shows.”
There will only be one special program which the KARA members will appear on – Goo Hara will be appearing on SBS ‘Big Match’ to be aired on 14th February.
Meanwhile, it is known that KARA is doing the last lap of preparation for thir comeback album.
