“The girls have signed an official contract with Universal Music Japan and will begin their musical careers in the country during the latter half of the year,” DSP Media said in a press release.
Kara will be attending an event on May 5th where they will meet over 8,000 fans. The following day, they will celebrate the launch of their official Japanese fan club with 3,000 members.
When the girls had their showcase in Japan this February, tickets sold out within five minutes after tickets went up for sale. As a result they held an additional show for the attendees.
Universal Music Japan, currently selling their Korean album, has already received 10,000 preorders.
Kara released their third mini album in February and their title track “Lupin” has found the group success on music shows as well as the music charts.
