Eun Ji Won is now an Old Boy in 1N2D

1N2D’s resident youngster, Dooly, choding, or whatever you may call him, Eun Ji Won has finally become a married man as of the 20th. To get the juicy story behind-the-scenes, KBS Entertainment Relay held an interview with the star on the 24th.

For a question, “Any difference after getting married,” Eun Ji Won answered, “I still can’t feel feel like the marriage is real.”

The reporter then tossed the expected marriage question, “How was your first night?” All innocent, Eun Ji Won replied, “We spent the night very hectically, and took the airplane home in the morning.”

Before marriage, Eun Ji Won was always a part of the YB group, which stands for Young Boys, in 1 Night 2 Days. Now officially a married man with a family to take care of, Eun Ji Won revealed that he is no longer a Young Boy, but an Old Boy, where Kang Ho Dong, Kim C, and Lee Soo Geun belong.

Eun Ji Won may insist that he has “grown up” countless times, but I think he will always been seen as a Young Boy at heart.

The 1979-ers Having Love Problems?

It looks as if some of Korea’s most beloved entertainers are having a few love troubles. Specifically those that were born in 1979.

The 1979-ers, also known as Kim JongMin (KBS 2TV’s 1Night 2Days), MC Mong (1Night 2Days), Nah HongChul, (MBC’s Infinity Challenge), and HaHa (Infinity Challenge), have been breaking up with their girlfriends one after another.

The first break-up was Kim JongMin’s with girlfriend HyunYoung in April of 2008. The couple had been dating since January of 2008, after meeting on KBS 2TV’s Heroine 6.Jongmin has returned after completing his mandatory military service and is back on 1Night 2Days.

HaHa split from his girlfriend of 3 years, Ahn HyeKyeong, in November, 2009. The couple was very affectionate and admitted their love for each other in public. HaHa, who has also returned from his mandatory military service, is back on Infinity Challenge.

Noh HongChul was the third to break-up with girlfriend of 9 months, Jang YoonJung, in March, 2010. The two had met during the filming for SBS’s Gold Miss Diary.

The most recent separation was MC Mong and Joo Ahmin’s. They went their separate ways on April 22 of this year after dating since 2008.

What is interesting and the most heartwarming about this story, is the four 1979-ers close friendship and their words of comfort to each other during the hard times. HaHa cheered HongChul up, upon his break-up, by saying, “Let’s go to the nightclub!” HongChul similarly gave comforting words to MC Mong through his twitter by saying, “Rainy morning, the feeling of going into work whilst listening to music is the best. MC Mong’s songs are the best. Mong Mong Mong Mong Mong, be careful of the rain and have a good day!”

It is nice to know that these four have each others’ backs as they go through tough times together. Good luck to all of them!

Invincible Youth casts parody 1N2D opening

Invincible Youth recently did an parody of the opening scene usually seen at the beginning of each new 1N2D episode. The G7 girls, Kim Tae Woo and Kim Shin Young had met each other at the exact spot where the 1N2D cast usually assemble, in front of the KBS building. For the video below the cut:

1N2D to tour Korea’s coastline in place of Antarctica

If you didn’t know, the production team of 1N2D had harbored a grand ambition of bringing the variety show to Antarctica in early March. But because of the unfortunate earthquake that struck Chile, the team had no alternative but to cancel the trip for which they had planned for months in advance.

This was because safety for the entire team could not be guaranteed.

The unfortunate cancellation meant that shooting needed to be done elsewhere to make up for this. It was then decided that 1N2D will take a 3N4D tour along the coastline of Korea starting from Sokcho in the east and moving through Gyeongsang-do, Jeolla-do, etc before reaching the west coast. This special trip which was completed last week will be divided into 4 episodes to be broadcasted over the next month.

This will be a good spring break for the 1N2D cast and production team as filming will only resume in mid-April.

MC Mong gives presents to 1N2D staff

MC Mong surprised the whole 1 Night 2 Days production staff by giving them gifts.

The gifts were a token of his thanks and gratitude, and they were hair wax sprays that MC Mong had recently endorsed. If you remember back, MC Mong had shaved his hair with Eun Ji Won as punishment, so it’s pretty ironic that he is handing out hair products.

MC Mong even prepared the products to fit the hair types of each male and female staff.

MC Mong stated, “Since there’s a lot of outdoor filming, I am thankful yet sorry to the staff who is always suffering. I just wanted to give back to them. I have become a model for a hair brand for the first time since by debut 12 years ago, and it feels weird to be handing out products that I’ve endorsed.”

On another note, MC Mong will be mc-ing a new variety program, HaHa-Mong Show, with his best friend HaHa.

SeobSeob Brothers Eun JiWon and MC Mong get their heads shaved as punishment

‘SeobSeob Brothers’ Eun JiWon and MC Mong were seen shaving their head together.

During KBS 2TV 2 Days 1 Night aired on 14th March, the 2 together with Lee SeungGi had a game of table tennis for their bokbulbok game during their visit to KangHwaDo.

Eun JiWon had then suggested that the losing team had to have their head shaved, and did a rematch with his hair at stake. But in the end, Eun JiWon and MC Mong had lost the game while Lee SeungGi was away for mission, and they had to shave their hair off.

The 2 then visited the traditional barber in the area to had their punishment.

Han Seo Hye is popular after appearance on 1N2D

Universal Ballet member Han Seo Hye has been receiving great interest from the public after appearing as a guest on an episode of KBS’s 1 Night 2 Days spectator tour part 2.

Currently receiving fame similar to that of a celebrity, ballerina Han Seo Hye’s minihimpy is receiving thousands of visitor hits. Regarding her participation on the show, this ballerina gushed, “Being able to be on the 1N2D show was a feeling better than winning the lottery.”

In addition, Han Seo Hye said, “I am a person who is addicted to ballerina. When I get the chance, I want to let others know more about ballet through television.”

Netizens have complimented Han Seo Hye, saying that she has a small head and looks very pretty. Others commented that she looks similar to T-ara’s Soyeon and Hwang Jung Eum.

Kim C apologizes to Sandara Park

Last week, the cast of 1 Night 2 Days became the girls of 2NE1 for a hot performance of Fire. The most memorable transformation was definitely Kim C’s; he impersonated Sandara Park and wowed the crowd with his hilarious costume.

On today’s episode of the show, the guys talked about the episode last week. Kim C said, “I think I did something wrong to her (Sandara). I’m really sorry for it.”

He continued, “I got to know 2NE1 through this experience and I really love their music. They’re so charming.” Lee Soo Geun then joked, “It’s been a year since they’ve debuted…”

Although Kim C is pretty late in discovering the fierce foursome, 2NE1 just gained another fanboy fanman!

1 Night 2 Days will try to take on Antarctica in 2011

Because of the devastating earthquakes in Chile, the cast and crew of KBS 1 Night 2 Days had to cancel their special trip to Antarctica, dissapointing many fans who held high hopes. However, it has been revealed that they will try again next year, in 2011.

The PD of the show stated, “It is hard to carry on with the trip at the moment. We plan to visit Antarctica next year. All we had left was to get our equipment ready and leave, so it was unfortunate. Even though we had to cancel, this will give the cast and crew more of a determination to go to the far-away land. Going to Antarctica is 1N2D’s biggest challenge. We will never let that go.”

For this trip, the crew changed all of their cameras to HD and purchased better microphones to offer viewers a better experience.

To cancel everything in a short amount of time is a devastating blow, but safety always comes first. We at allkpop wish the best of luck for the residents in Chile!

The cast of 1 Night 2 Days becomes 2NE1

The Family Outing cast from the first season made viewers laugh when they parodied 2NE1’s Fire, and now 1 Night 2 Days has done the same.

The special episode in which Kang Ho Dong became Taecyeon to perform My Ear’s Pig last week continued on to this week. The cast of the show was doing their second viewer tour where they performed in front of their viewers to get closer to them.

MC Mong became CL, Lee Soo Geun became Park Bom, Kim Jong Min became Minzy and Kim C became Sandara Park. The audience of the show had a quite shocking response but then again, who wouldn’t?

1N2D preparing for trip to North Korea

The 1N2D crew is getting ready for another special trip after their visit to Antarctica. They will be going to their neighboring country, North Korea!

The PD of Happy Sunday was interviewed by EDailySPN recently where he expressed, “In 2008, we were planning to film 1N2D at the city of Gaesung in North Korea. We had a good chance of going, but because of the shooting incident at Geum Gang San, it was cancelled. This year, we have decided that we will make a trip to North Korea after our Antartica special.”

The PD then said, “If you think about it, it is harder to go to North Korea than Antarctica, which is farther away. We were sad that we had to go to Baek-du San through China. This trip to the communist country will be the longest we ever had.”

If you didn’t know, South Korea and North Korea are still technically at war and frequent skirmishes between their army, navy, airforce and politics still happen every now and then. This also explains why South Korea requires all their fit men to serve a mandatory two years of service in the army to prepare for a sudden war.

Variety shows like 1N2D are really going to the top these days. At this rate, I don’t think it will be long until the crew visits every country in the world!

Eun Ji Won to get married!

Former leader of Sechskies and forever Choding of 1 Night 2 Days, Eun Ji Won will finally be tying the knot with his girlfriend! “Eun Ji Won has decided to finally marry and is currently preparing for the ceremony,” a related source revealed on the 17th.

Eun Ji Won first met and dated his fiancée, Lee, in 1994 during his studies abroad in Hawaii, and reunited just March of last year, when their lost love bloomed once again. Lee, currently working as a businesswoman, is well-known for not only being crowned as Miss Hawaii, but because Korea’s national soccer player, Lee Dong Gook, is her brother-in-law.

It has been reported that both sides of the family have already gathered to discuss the marriage. Meanwhile, the specific date or location of the ceremony hasn’t been decided yet. But they are considering Hawaii as an option.

1 Night 2 Days cast is going to Antarctica

KBS2 1 Night 2 Days is taking another difficult trip… this time to Antarctica! How crazy is that?

The cast of the show will be in Antarctica from March 9th to the 22nd. That’s two weeks of the crazy ice cap land.

They will explore the wild & raw lands and soak in the beauty on the adventure. This is their second exciting trip after going to Baek-Du Mountain in North Korea.

Since they are staying there for so long, the cast is currently discussing the transportation as well as the number of staff that will be joining them on the road. I think they should focus on discussing how many layers of jackets they are bringing. Some hardcore free-from-the-cold gear would be nice too.

The cast has said that this trip currently looks like it will be the toughest to endure out of all the ones they’ve been on. I think this one will even beat their highest rating, 41%… what do you think?

Kang Ho Dong is not leaving 1 Night 2 Days

Rumors have been flying around that Kang Ho Dong is set to leave his hit variety show 1 Night 2 Days next year because his contract will be up.

Now, don't get upset fans, because this rumor has been refuted by the main PD himself. "This rumor came out of nowhere," he stated. "I never talked about this or heard about this. I'm not sure what his contract says but I know it's not ending in the beginning of next year."

Instead of worrying over Kang Ho Dong leaving, you guys should be excited for the returnof Kim Jong Min!

Did Lee Seung Gi succeed in cooking beer can chicken?

On the latest episode of 1 Night 2 Days, Lee Seung Gi had tried to make Beer Can Chicken from a recipe book.

Beer Can Chicken involves placing a half full can of beer into the cavity of a chicken and cooking it upright on a grill. This keeps it moist while adding flavor to the meat.

Lee Seung Gi made several mistakes in the process such as not washing the chicken and leaving the plastic wrap on when he placed the chicken on the grill. The other members of the cast was highly worried that the chicken might explode.

In the end though, everything turned out great as the chicken was delicious and Lee Seung Gi was praised for his cooking skills.

With his history of failed cuisine on the show, it was a real surprise that Lee Seung Gi actually cooked something delicious this time. Maybe he just needed some luck.

Lee Seung Gi watched porn after debut?

That's right ladies, he isn't the most "innocent" singer out there.

On the October 18th episode of KBS 1 Night 2 Days, the members of the show asked Lee Seung Gi if he had ever watched porn. He surprisingly answered that he watched a little. The members couldn't believe it so they asked, "Did Eun Ji Won get it for you?" Lee then explained that he found it by himself, adding, "There's a time for love too," which brought laughter to the crowd.

On the same episode, Lee Seung Gi talked about his ideal girl (who was already revealed to be YoonA from SNSD/Girls Generation) as well, stating that he did not want his girlfriend to occasionally go to nightclubs and that he did not want her to wear revealing clothes.

Personally, I wouldn't reprimand Lee Seung Gi for getting his dose of you-know-what because he's a fully grown man; it's totally normal for guys to watch stuff like that because it's like gold for them.

MC Mong denies rumors about him plotting 1 Night 2 Days

Some controversy has been stirring up with MC Mong!

MC Mong has denied recent rumors that he set up certain "coincidences" on episodes of 1 Night 2 Days. MC Mong was accused of planning to have the "hoop boy" (굴렁쇠소년) Yoon Tae Ung on the show for an episode. To this accusation MC Mong said, "That is ridiculous."

On the episode, Yoon Tae Ung, who was part of the opening for the 1988 Olympics in Korea, came on the show. Since he is a (generally) widely known person, people thought MC Mong brought him on on purpose to try and help the olympic boy become famous. People were thinking it was all a set up and not a coincidence that the cast just happened to meet the guy on set. People pointed fingers at MC Mong but he defended himself.

He replied, "If I planned it out, would I pick the hoop boy? Really? We were in the military together and that's how we met. He came to visit me. I don't get why people are saying I plotted this whole thing. People are so uptight these days. Why do they have to try to make people look like liars?"

MC Mong showed his disappointment towards the people that thought low of him over the incident. He ended the interview with Newsen on a good note by saying, "It's been almost two years since I have joined 1 Night 2 Days, but I never get tired or worn out from it. It's just fun! It's all real but I have a certain character image I must follow. Lee Seung Gi is the nice and innocent one and I'm the opposite. Through this show, I discovered a new me. When I'm with the cast, I'm happy and comfortable."

MC Mong's "bad image" on the comedy show must've made people more suspicious of his actions. It's good to know that he has his 5 other members that have his back.

On a brighter note, MC Mong will be making a comeback with his song "Horror Show" on M! Countdown this week.

Lee Seung Gi is a Clock Girl

On the most recent episode of KBS 1 Night 2 Days, singer and actor Lee Seung Gi transformed into a "clock girl" with a new bob cut! Although most people would have looked plain freaky, Lee Seung Gi actually looked.. cute!

Lee Seung Gi, who is dominating the TV through his appearance on variety show, 1Night 2 Days, and his drama, Brilliant Legacy, had to get to YoungGwang in the wig while carrying a huge clock. Why a clock? His punishment was to announce the time hourly.. like an alarm clock! Hahaha!
At first, He felt humiliated and embarrassed, but after realizing that he actually looked quite cute, he began to preen and take selca pictures in the bus. He even said he looked like Wonder Girls' cutie, Sohee! Oh, Lee Seung Gi.

‘One night 2 days’ stars go on vacation with friends

Hit show, “1 Night 2 Days” recently did a special where they went on vacation with their viewers. The episode was such a success (or ran out of ideas) that the writers decided to do another special. This time around, the special will feature the friends of all 6 cast members. No famous friends will be vacationing with them though, only non-celebrity friends will be able to tag along on the trip. Where they will be going for this trip has not been revealed yet but the episode will air on the 19th and 26.

Yawn.
