Netizens inspect SS501’s pre-debut photos

Three members of SS501, Kim Hyun Joong, Heo Youngsaeng and Kim Kyujong have become the next unfortunate victims of Korean netizens. The trio who were usually praised for their pretty boy looks, underwent the public's scrutiny for their pre-debut photos.

SS501's leader, Hyun Joong, whose pre-debut photos have been revealed before, has received applause for his natural, untouched face. As opposed to his drastic change from his earlier days, Hyun Joong exhibits maturity through defined features that are still recognizable now.

Youngsaeng also received a positive response for his black hair and sharp stare, earning him comparisons to a popular character from Japanese manga "Slam Dunk."

The two members from SS501 mentioned above may have breezed past safely from netizens' wrath, but Kyujong was not so fortunate.

Taken during his high school, Kyujong's picture reveals his strong and tough charisma that may have otherwise been unseen before.

SS501’s Kyu Jong Says “Wuss Up”

To be honest, I'm not the biggest SS501 fan because I think they look feminine, but even I have to admit this song is catchy. But to see him holding a gun and looking bad ass to him prancing around in dark lipstick and mascara just wasn't working out for me. Seems like hes selling 2 messages here, 1) I'm a gangster that will take out an asshole. 2) I'm a prancing fairy that will take it up the asshole. I'll let you guys choose which way of the hole for yourselves.

SS501’s Kim Kyu Jong admitted on a MBC variety show "Quiz to Change the World" that he’s a lame duck when it comes to the ladies.

SS501 Kim Kyu Joong revealed a shocking incident about how he used Eczema cream accidentally as toothpaste.

On KBS 2TV "Happy Together season3", Kim Kyu Joong revealed that leader Kim Hyun Joong "wore loose and large school uniform during his school days, showing his confidence, but always set too high expectations for himself and ended up never achieving it."
