YounHa, BEAST DongWoon and 2AM JinWoon on their high school graduation day!

Previously reported that YounHa was down to largyngitis and need to stop her activities due to her illness.

Yet, today (Feb 4), YounHa attends her special high school graduation at HwiGyeong High School – Seoul.

Why special : YounHa was actually dropped out of high school on 2004 for her singing career in Japan, yet, she managed to accomplished the graduation condition via the surrogate method given by the school.

YounHa is currently enrolled to Hankuk University major in Japanese and is in her 3rd year.

Meanwhile, other stars who also receives their high school diploma today are : BEAST Son DongWoon who is accompanied by his hyungs DooJoon, HyunSeung, YoSeob and JunHyung and 2AM Jung JinWoon who is accompanied as well by his hyung Lee ChangMin.

YounHa to release 9th single album in Korea and Japan

Singer YounHa will release her 9th single album simultaneously in Korea and Japan.

Her 9th Japanese single ‘Girl’ will be released on 22nd July both in Korea and Japan online and offline. And this is the first time she is doing a release both in Korea and Japan.

This is because she wants to be able focus on both Korea and Japan music markets. In this single, YounHa has done the lyrics to 2 songs, and also composed one of the songs inside, as a young singer songwriter.

In this album, the title song ‘Girl’ is a song which YounHa has worked with producer JIN with.

YounHa is #1 for female solo singer album sales – 20K album sales for 3rd album

YounHa has came in #1 for female solo singer album sales for the first half of 2009 with a total of 17,000 copies of her 3rd album Part. A ‘Peace, Love & Ice Cream’ acoording to HanTeo chart.

And as of 20th May, her album sales has already breakthrough 20,000 copies. YounHa came back with this 3rd album, promoting the title songs ‘1,2,3′ and ‘Peace, Love & Ice Cream’ showing a different music styles as compared to the other singers.

YounHa has been said to be a ’steady seller’. Her 1st album ‘Good Day for Confession’ and 2nd album ‘Someday’ has both sold over 7oK and 52K copies. And for her 3rd album, it is said that the album sales will continue to increase.

Meanwhile, YounHa will release her 9th Japanese single ‘Girl’ on 22nd July. For this single she will also be have producer of group ‘ GReeeeN‘ JIN working on it. Much anticipation for that.

Younha Beats Out 2NE1 and Super Junior

Fine, I admit it. I know I said that I wouldn't listen to her song, but I did and it's pretty catchy. Although it might have to do with it being a sampling of Jackson 5's ABC, it's not bad at all. And it seems like Korea agrees, because it passed Big Bang & 2NE1's Lollipop for 1st on the Bugs Music Chart and Super Junior's Sorry Sorry for 2nd on Dosirak Music Chart.

123 is a song that has a lot of brass and percussion mixed in so it's pretty different from the style she has done before. Her fans have said "It's an album beyond my expectations. It's a product of her feelings portrayed in her music through her own style". The song Peace Love & Ice Cream has been receiving a lot of attention as well, but that isn't just a sample, it's a cover. With a smooth, comfortable melody, it's been receiving praise that it is title worthy. Unfortunately, even if she has done a good job with the songs, originality for this album is low. Very low. Even if other artists were recycling songs, I expected more from YounHa. After all, even if I didn't enjoy Telepathy, her piano playing in Password 486 won me over.

Younha 123 MV Released

The MV for Younha's new single, 123 from her 3rd album Peace, Love, & Ice Cream was released today. It seems Younha is deviating from her past ballads and going the more cutesy route. The song sounds very jazzy / spanish and sounds pretty good. She was always pretty and talented but never really appreciated in Korea, hopefully she's successful this go around. Younha’s Teaser in 1,2,3…

With Younha's impending comeback on the 16th, fans are expressing great excitement with the release of her MV teaser. She returns with a cute girly image in her 3rd album Part A Peace, Love, & Ice Cream. Her entertainment group, Stam Entertainment commented, "You can see her transformation as a lovely girl in her 123 teaser music video." The transformation was so successful and different from her usual image that it got staff wondering was it really Younha while they were filming the MV. The title song 123 from her new album was composed internationally with Swedish, Japanese, and Korean composers taking part.

Due to Younha's Japanese movie On this Sunday being released in Japan on the 11th, she will be in Tokyo and Osaka from the 11th to the 12th. She will make her comeback through M! Countdown on the 16th and then the usual comeback stages subsequently with KBS, MBC, & SBS's respective music programs.

While she's keeping busy with her plans, you can get a little taste of what's to come. As for me, teasers tend to have either the best or worst part of the song, so I'm reserving judgment till the actual song comes out next week.
