Not bad at all. While many highschool kids are taking an allowance from their parents, Kim Hyun-joong was busting his butt delivering chicken. On the SBS show, “Yashimmanman,” the SS501 member revealed that he pulled in close to 100 million won (71,000 USD) taking all sorts of part-time gigs in middle and high school. The singer turned actor (”Boys over Flowers”) added that he did everything from delivering chicken to working multiple jobs during the summer and winter holidays. Why, because he didn’t have to ask his parents for an allowance. (And that’s something new! Generally, highschool is a time when students concentrate on their studies to fulfill their parents’ dream of entering “SKY” : Seoul National, Korea U or Yonsei)
As to what the secret to his success was, the singer/actor will divulge the details on the next episode of “Yashimmanman” on January 26th.
FYI, Kim Hyun-joong operates a fried chicken joint with close childhood friends. And lucky for them, he is their model (see above)Take out with full credits.
