After geeing their way to the record of 9 consecutive K-Chart wins for nearly 3 months and will probably stay for a long time, Girls' Generation run came to an end this evening as they finally relinquished their iron grip to 2-member girl duo Davichi.
On the 20th March edition of KBS2TV Music Bank, Davichi took advantage of Girls' Generation absence (who were in Pattaya for a music festival) and also building on their own popularity as they clinched #1 with their new single 8282 having released it 3 weeks ago on 27th February. The win was only their second-ever on Music Bank after Love and War last July. Davichi was competing against Girls' Generation Gee and also itself as 2 of its songs 8282 and Is Love That Foolish made it to the top 3.
This win was coming especially after Davichi had already topped various music charts recently and also claimed the Mutizen Award on SBS Inkigayo on 15th March.
Can Davichi keep up the momentum in the coming weeks? Let's wait and see.
