With their mediocre debut performance behind them, it seems the older girls in 2NE1 finally stepped it up with their second performance on SBS‘ “Inkigayo” on May 31, 2009.
Unlike their first performance, the girls actually filled the stage with their presence. Albeit the stage set up probably had something to do with it but at least the stage does not feel empty and the lack of back up dancers is not noticeable.
Also Park Bom’s voice finally seems to mesh with the “hip hop” style the group is trying to exude. Even in the music video, she seemed somewhat out of place but whatever extra practice they were able to have due to the break of programs because of the former president’s death, it must have helped. It seems that Park Bom and Dara finally found their confidence and used that to their advantage.
I’m actually looking forward to their next stage. We’ll just have to wait and see how these girls do.
