2ne1 sets the stage on ‘Fire’

This wasn’t 2NE1’s first on-stage performance but it was their very first performance on KBS 2TV Music Bank.

Not too long ago, 2NE1 insisted that they would only perform on 1 music channel per week and since then, has only appeared on SBS Popular Song (인기가요) for the past 3 weeks. In response to 2NE1 only performing on SBS Inki-gayo, netizens began jumping to their own conclusion that the new pop act was actually banned from the other broadcasting companies. YG Entertainment denied this rumor stating,

The rumor is not true. We wanted (2ne1) to create a more complete stage performance to show fans and felt they needed more practice, which is why we chose to perform only once a week.

2NE1’s Music Bank performance aired in Korea on June 12th and fans have been commenting that the girls have improved immensely over the past few weeks. Despite the stage visuals being a bit bland and boring compared to their previous performance, their vocals seem to have improved and they look more comfortable on stage. Just look at Gong Min-ji strutting her stuff on stage, she may be lacking a little something in the looks department but surely she makes up for it with her presence on stage.

On the other hand, CL really needs to get rid of that white body suit because at some angles, she looks like she’s sporting white granny panties over her tights. And since when was wearing pantaloons over your tights considered fashionable? That’s exactly what we thought. NEVER.
