Now, it's no surprise to any follower of kpop that SM Entertainment houses some of the best talent in the entertainment biz, but did you know that it's also a breeding ground for a soccer team?
In a recent interview with SHINee, the boys spilled the beans about the company's very own soccer team. Onew stated, "In our company, we have SM United. We haven’t had a official match before but we are very happy to be together, it’s very interesting." When a group or artists debuts with SM, they begin their unofficial careers are soccer players on SM United. Each member of the team has their very own uniform ready to be worn.
Not only does SHINee love the sport, but their sunbaes are quite soccer buffs as well. Minho went on to say, "I watch soccer with the hyungs of Super Junior, we talk while we watch, and when we play soccer together we talk about things related to it too. I also play / watch with the Dong Bang Shin Ki hyungs, and also talk a lot about soccer."
Due to their conflicting schedules, however, the boys can't manage to get a game started. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would love to see a match up with SM United. I'm also wondering who would be the MVP?
