KBS has banned a song from rookie group BEAST for including a word in one of its tracks that could potentially be misinterpreted as an expletive. The song "아직은 (Yet)," released in October on BEAST's debut mini album, includes the following line:
"내 몸을 감싼 이 허전함에 눈물로 밤을 새, oh shi_ /The loneliness surrounds me as I spend the night in tears, oh shi_"
A Cube Entertainment representative responded to this accusation by saying, "Of course, the phrase was not used as a curse word."
KBS seems to be rather keen on banning artists' songs for inappropriate lyrics, as demonstrated by the company's earlier ban of 4minute's song "I Won't Give." Interestingly enough, both BEAST and 4minute are signed under Cube Entertainment.
Take a listen for yourself at the 1:20 mark.

In all honesty, Jun Hyung sounded like he was, indeed, saying "sh*t" in the song, which makes me quite sad since "Yet" is probably my favorite track on BEAST's album. But Beauties, don't feel too sad--the album is so ridiculously good that the group can no doubt perform other tracks.
Thanks to B2ST Rising for the translation of the lyrics.
Take out with full credits.
