[NEWS] 090630 32,000 Fans AT TVXQ'S THAILAND CONCERT

Posted by Nez 0 comments

The 5 member, male-group, TVXQ, mobilised 32,000 fans at their Thailand concert, and the performances ended successfully.

In a comment made on 29 June, SM Entertainment said, "This is "TVXQ 3rd Asia Tour Mirotic in Bangkok", which was held on 27 & 28 June (Thailand time), at the Impact Arena. At the venue, it was filled with around 32,000 fans, and they heated up the atmosphere."

According to the company, as part of this year's "Asia Tour Mirotic", the composition and performances of the concerts will be similar to that of the Seoul concerts that were held earlier this year in February. Thus, the screens and stage equipment were replicated in its entirety.

TVXQ's concerts in Thailand were a huge success, and the rumours that have been going around that the group is in "crisis" has been dismissed.

In addition, the「東方神起 4th LIVE TOUR 2009 ~The Secret Code~ FINAL in TOKYO DOME」will be held on 4 & 5 July at the Tokyo Dome.

[TRANS] 090629 Thai concert, Little summary of the Thai concert <3

On the morning of June 29th, 2009, in Beijing, the media in South Korea reported that TVXQ, from June 27th to the 28th held concerts in Bangkok, Thailand. The two concerts had more than 32, 000 fans altogether that welcomed the group.

This is TVXQ's third concert tour for "MIROTIC". In order to emphasize the effect of the concert, TVXQ specially transported stage equipment from South Korea. It had made the Thai fans feel like they were on the stage too.

TVXQ sung "Wrong Number", "Crazy Love", "Rising Sun" and other popular songs sung by them. The TVXQ members also had individual member performances. Their concert was so successful that it was later aired on program 26.

[INFO] 090626 Bangkok Press Conference Fan Account and Other Stuff

Posted by Nez 0 comments
Our flight was delayed by two hours and I was already panicking because I wanted to get to the press conference venue early to get good spots. We arrived in Bangkok at about 3:00 pm and my sisters and I were really in a hurry to get through immigration, get our bags, have our money changed, buy Thai sim cards and so on.
I noticed this lady that was holding up a sign that says, "東方神起 3rd Asia Tour Concert MIROTIC in Bangkok." We saw that some fans (Japanese, I think) were approaching the lady. More and more people came after them O_O

We went outside so we can ride the van and get to Pathumwan asap and wow... We saw them boarding a huge bus with the sign mentioned above. I think they're ALL from Japan. The fans inside were... both young and old ^^; A lot of Bigeast members will be watching the MIROTIC Concert x:

We checked into our hotel, fixed ourselves up a bit and rushed out. We took the Sky Train at the National Stadium and we were pretty much lost D: Omg, Thais are so nice. I was getting desperate and was asking people, "Do you speak English?" and they were all, "No..." or "No English..." This girl beside me called her friend (who knew English) and she let her talk to me so she can give us the directions. So nice <3>

akfdhsk there were so many people at the conference XD Some fans were already standing on chairs and they were all singing the lyrics of "MIROTIC" and "Wrong Number." They were still in their uniforms XD So cute, hahaha~ We pushed our way through the crowd and ended up somewhere in the middle. I was tall, so I had no problems viewing the stage *shot* But there were people holding up banners and stuff, so it got a bit annoying. The screams of "Dong Bang Shin Ki! Dong Bang Shin Ki!" were getting louder and louder by the moment, so we knew they were coming *dies*

When the boys came out, we were all D: D: D: I almost cried because Chunface got rid of his ugly hairstyle!! *spazzes* Yunho was stunning as always (guh at those arms XDDD <3) glasses =" just...">

[ Pictures will be posted up here at OneTVXQ already ]

The boys said some words and the crowd went wild XD
Yoochun: Don't wear miniskirts~
Jaejoong: Is it hot??
Yunho: Love you -kiss kiss-
And Yunho was being the awesome leader that he is by repeating what the other members were saying XD Like, Chun would say something and Ho would be all, "What he said is this... *explains*" (According to my friend) LULZ. That's why one of the MCs in HEY!HEY!HEY! told him off at one time XD *squishes him*

And the rest of it... We didn't understand anymore XD
People were already rushing to the side of the stage in hopes of touching the boys or something. I think.

Oh yeah! I saw Yuu, Rella unnie, Dawn unnie and Sazzy from OneTVXQ (: We were supposed to do some forum business *coughs* but things didn't go as planned XD My Thai sim ran out of credits and this girl offered to let me use her mobile. afdjfdks so nice, right? D:

After that, we went into Central World, bought some CDs and glowsticks at B2S and met up with [info]srisin unnie for dinner. She gave us our SK tickets already happy.gif I finally met her after three years *raises TVfXQForever banner* After that, one of her friends (I don't know how to spell her name T_T) dropped us off at 7-Eleven so we could buy prepaid cards.

And now, I'm still spazzing at OneTVXQ when I'm supposed to be sleeping XD *dies*

Taiwan remakes “Full House”

Posted by Nez 0 comments
Wait~again?

Rain’s breakthrough acting vehicle alongside actress Song Hye-kyo, 2004’s “Full House,” will be remade in Taiwan. The news of the remake is no surprise because of the drama’s enduring popularity, but the thing is…isn’t there already a Taiwanese adaptation of “Full House” called “Smiling Pasta“? The producer of the 2006 Taiwanese idol drama even admitted that it was an adaptation, but no “house contract” and the media playing a larger role as an antagonist.

The new Taiwanese remake, however, is not exactly a remake of the Korean drama, but rather an adaptation of the original “Full House” manhwa by Won Soo-yon, which is actually quite different from the drama. Taiwan is notorious for being uncreative and producing idol dramas based on Japanese manga and Korean manhwa (Taiwanese people just LOVE comics), so it’s not that big of a stretch.

If you’re curious about the Taiwanese casting, it is rumored that the celebrity male lead will be played by baby faced muscle man, Wu Zun, and the spunky female lead with a heart of gold will be played by China’s rising actress, Zhou Xun. The choice of Wu Zun is no surprise because he is incredibly popular right now as a smoldering male lead, but I find it highly implausible that an actress of Zhou Xun’s caliber would actually participate in an idol drama. Yet then again, if she was making bank off this gig, why not sell out a little?

It seems like the story of “Boys Over Flowers” has already had enough drama adaptations, is the industry now moving on to “Full House”?

He just loves experimenting, doesn’t he?

At the Thailand press conference for TVXQ on June 26th, Micky Yoo-chun was spotted with a brand new haircut. Netizens are just fascinated with the fact that his new do looks exactly like what his momma sports. Perhaps, he decided to go to his mom’s stylist.

It’s not as questionable as his ahjumma cut from a while back, or edgy like his Mirotic” sweep. Although it makes him look like a really wholesome looking girl, I personally think he looks quite good and this is probably the most normal haircut he has had in a while. Micky is like the G-Dragon of DBSK, except only with hairstyles and not as outrageous.

Wondergirls featured in legitimate American press

Posted by Nez 0 comments

Talk about some actual PR.

So far, the American debut of the Wondergirls has just been a lot of word of mouth and internet hype, but that has changed, since the Wondergirls were actually featured in a piece in the Seattle Times. Granted I’m not sure if the article made it in the print version, but nonetheless, it’s solid exposure from a media outlet that is not dedicated to celebrities, entertainment, and pop culture.

The article is basically human interest fluff as it just talks about the Wondergirls as a teenage pop sensation who are just looking forward to being in America. Nothing hard-hitting, scandalous, or particularly newsworthy here. All the girls, except So-hee, offer a quote in their very colloquial ESL English, so it’s another chance for fans to catch a glimpse of their English skills.

Check out the article here.

Making of 4minute Hot Issue music video

Posted by Nez 0 comments

You might have already seen their music video and performances, now Cube Entertainment has revealed a short 2 minute clip of how the Hot Issue music video was filmed with 4minute. But how do I put it, it's like a making of the MV with Hyun Ah since it's mostly her, and she shows us 1 of her feet which was swollen from dancing around in high heels for over 30 hours of filming. But she didn't let this put her down as she finished the filming professionally in pain.

Kim So Eun drops Fourth Period Murder Mystery

Posted by Nez 0 comments

Kim So Eun seems to be following the lead of fellow Boys Before Flowers alumni, Kim Bum, as it was announced today that she was dropping out of the movie production of Fourth Period Murder Mystery, co-starring Yoo Seung Ho. Kim Bum had earlier dropped out of the movie production of 71 in favour of SBS drama, Dream and another movie, Flight because of scheduling conflicts.

The real-time high school thriller, Fourth Period Murder Mystery was announced in May with Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Eun as the main leads, while director Shin Dong Yup (100 Days with Mr. Arrogant) directed. 60 - 80% of the filming had already been completed and the movie was set for a July release. But the filming schedule has now been turned upside down, with director Shin Dong Yup leaving the production (presumably due to a lack of funding) and everything will have to be redone.

It was impossible for Kim So Eun to start from scratch again and redo her scenes since it will definitely clash with the filming schedule of her drama, The Man Who Can't Marry which is currently airing on KBS2TV. And faced with the dilemma of being unable to handle both and having to give up on 1, Kim So Eun's side decided on the drama.

According to one of the staff from the movie producution, "Kim So Eun has withdrawn from the movie filming, newbie actress Kang Sora will take over her role. There are no issues between N.O.A. Entertainment and the movie production company over Kim So Eun's withdrawal." There goes Kim So Eun's lead role in a movie and her hard work.

Kim Joon changed after Boys Over Flowers

Posted by Nez 0 comments

According to the T-Max group members, Kim Joon has changed ever since he played Song Woo Bin in the drama Boys Over Flowers. Leader Shin Min Chul revealed "Ever since Kim Joon became an F4 member, he has changed a lot. I can reveal it now. Before he started acting, he would always ask me (the leader) everything, but now he does not give in and is much more confident. He also says "Don't worry. I'm F4." rather comfortably."

Aside from this, the group also talked about the time when they had to introduce themselves as the 'Dancing SG Wannabe'. The group mentioned "When we think about it now, it's really embarrassing. The company president said that we need to make this our motto because at the time, SG Wannabe was a popular, three-member group. We had to introduce ourselves as 'Dancing SG Wannabe' because we weren't particularly good enough at dancing to be called idols." Well, it's good to know that they weren't the ones that though 'Dancing SG Wannabe' was a good saying because then we'd have some problems. But really, I hope the boys are just joking around because it is true that Kim Joon is the reason why they are even noticed nowadays. He basically saved their dying career as semi-idols.

The Lee Seung Gi effect

Posted by Nez 0 comments

The Lee Seung Gi effect is firmly in place, claims the Korean media, after his variety show 1N2D and weekend drama Shining Inheritance (leading role) both went over the 40% mark, easily topping the weekend ratings chart .

According to TNS Media Korea, KBS2TV 1N2D achieved a peak rating of 43.3% on the 28th while SBS Shining Inheritance's peak rating was 40.6% on the same day. The average rating of 1N2D was 33.9% while Shining Inheritance got a 39.9% average, meaning that nearly 1/2 of Korea's population were tuned in to watching Lee Seung Gi's shows on their television sets.

Lee Seung Gi has had a decent singing career with his ballads although that is now clearly taking a backseat while he is involved with drama and variety. Lee Seung Gi had already won the hearts of many with his secondary role in Famous Princesses back in 2006, especially ahjumma fans, who recognized him even now when he is on the streets with 1N2D. It seems like whatever Lee Seung Gi does, it's bound to be a sure winner and that rubs off on everyone who are involved in the same production with him.

Of course, we can't directly imply that Lee Seung Gi should be the only one credited with the high ratings, since it's a team effort, but it's also not wrong to say that Lee Seung Gi has had an impact in one way or another. Seung Gi's the only 1 involved in both 1N2D and Shining Inheritance, and his wholesome image has most likely endeared him to fans of all ages, from young children to high school students and the ahjummas in Korea. I mean more than 40% of the entire Korean population have seen Lee Seung Gi on tv over the weekend, surely his stock has risen even further after this.

Advertisers will definitely take note of this.

Kim Hyun Joong lends Kim Joon a helping hand

Posted by Nez 0 comments

Despite his frequent trips to hospital plus an unrelenting schedule with SS501, Kim Hyun Joong still took out time to show us his deep friendship bond with fellow F4 member, Kim Joon, which was formed during filming for Boys Before Flowers. (note: Hyun Joong has vampire eyes?)

Kim Hyun Joong recently took part in the filming of the MV for Kim Joon's solo song titled Joon, Be Ok! (or Ready, OK!), with the latter getting some tips from Hyun Joong while also expressing the immense amount of stress that he was facing. Hyun Joong said, "Hope that my appearance (in the MV) will bring him some needed strength."

According to Planet 905, "Kim Hyun Joong and Kim Joon have similar backgrounds in the entertainment industry, be it acting, solo songs, etc, so they are able to understand each others' situation very well. Hyun Joong wanted to show his support despite his busy schedule." Kim Hyun Joong had also appeared at Lee Min Ho's fan meeting, showing the deep friendship that he has formed with the other F4 members.

Kim Joon's solo MV starring Kim Hyun Joong will be out on 9th July. Kim Joon's solo song will be included on T-Max's new album, out on the same day.

Super Junior at the Taiwan Golden Melody Award

Posted by Nez 0 comments
After their goodbye performance in Korea, Super Junior traveled to Taiwan to attend the 20th Golden Melody Awards, the most prestigious music awards in China Chinese-speaking countries. The SuJu boys had attended the awards show back in 2007, and due to their rising popularity all over Asia and the fact that member Hankyung was originally from China, they were once again invited this year. They performed Sorry, Sorry on stage and presented two awards with Taiwanese actress, Ariel Lin, who studied Korean while in college. However, with Hankyung there speaking Chinese, the other members didn't get to say much on stage. The MCs of the awards show even performed a little comedic parody of the popular boy band.

Kibum was MIA as usual. Sungmin does not appear in (some of) the pictures because of his injury at the Music Bank performance the day before.

SHINee Wins Mutizen at SBS Inkigayo

Posted by Nez 0 comments

Shining brightly despite their leader's difficult week, teenage quintet SHINee won their first Mutizen for "Juliette" on SBS Inkigayo. It appears that Inkigayo's formula allows for late bloomers, as this song and 2NE1's "Fire" were released over a month before they started winning Mutizens on the Sunday music show.

Here's their victory...

and their "Juliette" performance, courtesy of CodeMonmonSeason3

Like good little dongsaengs, the first thing SHINee did after the victory announcement was bow to their SM noonas SNSD (who were not up for the award; just in case you were wondering). Onew then thanks SHINee's various mentors with a huge smile (nothing wipes away exhaustion like a good ol' victory), but of course, in typical Onew Sangtae fashion, his voice ends up cracking five octaves. Stick to this funny sangtae, Onew, and you'll simply make your manager frown instead of having him carry you off stage. Boys' Generation member Key, however, ends up stirring the pot a little by yelling "song for my So Nyeo Shi Dae" in the encore. While I'm sure it was just a fun display of respect, stating that Girls' Generation are the "Juliette"s to your Romeo might not be the best way to keep one's anti-count low.

Super Junior’s Sungmin injured during Music Bank Rehearsal

Posted by Nez 0 comments
It seems that Super Junior's Sungmin injured his knee during a KBS Music Bank rehearsal after tripping up on one of the stage props. An observer mentioned, "Sungmin fell during rehearsal and hurt his ankle. He needed help getting off of the stage and needed to receive medical treatment."

SM Entertainment also revealed, "During the rehearsal, his knee also ripped because of his fall. He was evacuated quickly and sent to the hospital to receive stitches."

Despite his injuries, Sungmin stood on the stage as was originally planned. A viewer admired, "Sungmin's desire to stand on the stage is really shining through. Even with his injury, he planned on performing on stage during the live performance."

Now this is dedication--where are you Kibum?

2PM Releases “I Hate You” MV

Posted by Nez 0 comments

Although I was disappointed to find out that 2PM's new music video for "니가밉다 (I Hate You)" was just a compilation of backstage footage, I changed my mind after watching the video. The video makes you reminisce, especially for the old 2PM fans, who have stuck by 2PM's side and watched them grow since their flips galore "10점 만점에 10점 (10 Out of 10)" promotion days. The MV gives us the inside look, from their practices to concerts and even fan signings and photo shoots, of the group that is capturing hearts around the world with their goofy personalities, 2PM. Although the video is packed with a whole bunch of fun and laughter, it also shows us how much these boys worked their bottoms off to be where they are today. Check it out below.

video credit: 2pm

Oh how I miss 2PM's old debut days. I know most people became fans after their hit song "Again & Again", but I am still stuck on their old songs, as listening to "10 Out of 10" and "Only You" is still part of my daily routine. Sad? Yes. But do I love it? Hell yeah! And because this article is practically screaming for it, here's 2PM's "10 Out of 10" and "Only You" MVs from 2008.

2PM to Release Thailand Album

Posted by Nez 0 comments

Leading the 'Thailand Hallyu (Korean Wave),' hot boy group 2PM will release their first Thailand official album.

2PM's first single 'Hottest time of the day' as well as new single '2:00PM Time for Change' will be included in this 2-CD and Music Video DVD bonus special packaged '2PM Thailand Special Edition.'

2PM's official album will include the music videos of their ongoing hits "10점 만점에 10점 (10 Out of 10)" and "Again & Again", which have both reached No.1 on Thailand's MTV Channel V Chart in the past.

Regarding the release of their Thailand album, 2PM expressed, "As we are very happy and excited to release an overseas album, the fact that we have reached the No.1 spot on Thailand chart three times is even a deeper feeling," and that, "We are looking forward to closely meeting the fans who have showed 2PM love through our Thailand promotional tour in July."

Since their "10 Out of 10" days, I have always believed that this group has what it takes to make it big. With their never-ending charisma and genuine personalities, they will only become bigger and better. Maybe JYP will even bring them over to America soon! But for now, there are only hopes and whole lot of fingers crossed.

However, as much as I am delighted to see the boys broadening their opportunities, I am worried that they will become too caught up in other countries and eventually become MIA in Korea, as DBSK / TVXQ / Tohoshinki have.

Preview Big Bang’s Gara Gara Go

Posted by Nez 0 comments

Big Bang's new Japanese single titled "Gara Gara Go" is scheduled to be released on July 8th, but you can hear a preview of the song now.

From the 30 second preview, it sounds very uptempo / upbeat. I guess Big Bang is trying to invade Japan with dance club type music. It also looks like the chorus is going to be "Big Bang rocks tonight," and it should be a catchy hit. Thanks to Naty~ for the tip.

KBS Music Bank Accident Much More Severe Than First Reported

Posted by Nez 0 comments
Initial news reports over the collapse of KBS Music Bank's lighting structure and SHINee leader Onew's subsequent fainting understated the chaos and severity of the whole debacle. Netizens are suspecting that KBS is trying to keep their endangerment of our favorite pop stars on the down low, but in the Internet era, constricting information on a public event is a near-impossibility. Fancams which show the extent of the accident are starting to pop up, with fans of all groups appalled at the music show's lack of care for their dangerously large equipment.

Video Credit: shineer55

The video depicts that the equipment did in fact fall all the way to ground level, possibly endangering both staff and our favorite stars. We can see that the performers were directly involved in the incident by the photo above (one can spot Super Junior's Yesung and Sungmin, amongst others), and in the videos below.

Video Credit: sujupexonly13cris

Video Credit: pherenal

Notes from the videos:
[0:30 bottom video] We can see Onew limping around in the encore due to his injured ankle from the "Juliette" performance.
[1:00 top] [1:08 bottom] Though we cannot see the light falling directly, we can infer that the light fixture began to fall somewhere around here, from the fans' screams and the flurry of pop stars running from the light.
[1:31 top] [1:28 bottom] We catch a glimpse of staff holding up the perilously unstable light fixture.
[1:31 bottom] Onew is clearly woozy, leaning lifelessly on his manager. Netizens are suspecting that his injured ankle, the screaming fans, the chaos of the falling structure, and the overall overworked schedule of a K-pop star all contributed to his fainting.
[2:20 bottom] SHINee's manager carries the fainted Onew off the stage.

Fortunately, other than Onew (who is stable and resting), nobody was hospitalized. But the potential danger from a falling light structure, coupled with KBS's immediate attempt to cover up the entire incident, is very disconcerting for all K-pop fans. Hopefully this near-disaster serves as a wake-up call to music shows and music companies, who should ensure the safety of their staff and stars.

Chung Lim vs. AJ vs. Taegoon Rookie Dance Battle

Posted by Nez 0 comments

Another special stage on this week’s Music Bank was the Rookie Dance Battle between the rising stars Chung Lim, AJ, and Taegoon.

The battle started out with each rookie performing a short solo dance with Chung Lim going first, followed by AJ, and then Taegoon. The dance battle ended with all three rookies dancing together. Check it out.

Honestly, none of them wowed me with their dancing skills. Chung Lim’s solo dance, if you can call it that, looked lazy and uninspired. AJ’s solo dance was alright but I think he could’ve been a little more creative. If I had to choose a winner I would say it was Taegoon. I think his solo dance was the best, but not by a wide margin. From my perspective, it was a close battle between AJ and Taegoon but the acrobatic move that Taegoon did at the end of his solo dance won him the first place spot in my book. Although like I said before they all seemed to be lacking, some more so than others, but what do I know. Truthfully, I’ve got two left feet…actually three left feet if you want to count my third leg. That’s right ladies, I can’t dance but I make up for it with my tripod like action I got going on. True story.

SHINee is H.O.T., Onew Hospitalized

Posted by Nez 0 comments

First things first: Onew is fine. At Music Bank's finale, with all of the performers gathered on stage for SNSD's victory, the structure holding up the lights became loose (you can see people holding it up in this fan-taken picture), and one of the light fixtures fell right towards the unsuspecting Onew. Luckily, his Super Junior sunbaes Siwon and Kyuhyun prevented the fixture from hitting him, but the shock of the whole ordeal caused SHINee's leader to faint. He was carried backstage, and due to signs of psychological distress, was taken to the hospital.

[Update 12:05 EST] Fancam of Onew being carried backstage

Video Credit: loveamourette

While the video looks frightening, SM Entertainment has released a statement saying that Onew is now stable will be resting for the time being. Onew's famous sangtae (condition), while often churning out amusing moments, is really starting to pose a danger to the young man. This incident, coupled with his earlier tooth-breaking accident, is displaying a slightly disturbing trend for SHINee World. The weirdest part of the Onew Condition is that many of his strange moments are not even his fault - they just sort of happen. Hopefully physics will be kinder to the leader in the future.

Speaking of the future, SHINee performed a cover of H.O.T.'s 1997 hit "We Are The Future" for Music Bank's mid-year celebration:

Kudos to YoDubu2 for the upload

And for some more Onew Sangtae, check out 0:28 of their otherwise solid "Juliette" performance:

The slip is probably due to the rain at the end of 2NE1's Umbrella stage. Music Bank's stage must have some kind of grudge against the SHINee leader. Key also serves up some SM Family love at 2:17.

KARA’s Music Bank Performances

Posted by Nez 0 comments

For KARA’s special stage performance on KBS2TV’s Music Bank they paid homage to DSP Entertainment’s old school girl group, as well as one of the most popular Kpop girl groups ever, Fin.K.L. KARA sang Fin.K.L’s late 90’s hit song ‘To My Boyfriend.’

In my opinion ‘To My Boyfriend’ fits KARA’s over the top cutesy image perfectly. KARA did a good job but in the same token ‘To My Boyfriend’ doesn’t really seem like a vocally challenging song.

KARA also performed their hit songs ‘Honey’ and 'Pretty Girl.'

I like ‘Honey’ but I’m sick of ‘Pretty Girl.’ I could die a happy man if I didn’t have to hear ‘Pretty Girl’ ever again. I don’t think I’ve heard the last of that annoying song though. It’ll probably creep its way through my headphones periodically through the years and pay me an uninvited visit like a bad rash or an irritating friend that can never take a hint and stay away.

Lee Hong Ki cast in his first musical

Posted by Nez 0 comments
Lee Hong Ki of FT Island will be in his first musical this summer! For those of you who are familiar with Shakespeare (basically all of you who didn't sleep through English class), the musical is based off of the play A Midsummer Night's Dream. Even though this is Hong Ki's first musical, I'm sure he'll do fine because he's actually one of the few idols that can sing well raspberry
For all those in going to Korea, catch it on August 26th through August 31st! And thanks to anonymous for the tip!

Short Hair the “It” Style in Korean Dramas

Posted by Nez 0 comments
I thought it was just me at first, but it seems like short hair style is getting very hot in Korean dramas. Just a few that I've noticed.

Goo Hye Sun as Geum Jan Di in “Boys Before Flowers”
At first, I had my doubts about the 25-year-old acting as a high student, but she pulled it off. Very simple yet neat hairstyle, with the straight line bang, she does look pretty young.

Lee Min Jung in “Boys Before Flowers”
As Goo Joon Pyoo’s feisty girlfriend, her straight cut makes her independent personality stand out even more.

Chae Rim in “Good Job, Good Job”
Chae Rim acts as a single mom in Good Job Good Job and even cut her long hair that she has been growing out for 3 years.

Kim Sun Ah in “City Hall”
For her role as the headstrong city mayor, the short hair fits Kim Sun Ah’s character pretty well, gives her a lively look.

Han Hyo Joo in “Shining Inheritance”
Han Hyo Joo’s character is a young girl who has grown up through much hardship; her somewhat curly short hairstyle gives her the cuteness she deserves but adds strength to her personality as well.

Song Hye Kyo in "The World That They Live In"
Song Hye Kyo has always been known for her characterization of innocence and purity and whatnot. This short hairstyle gives a modern take on her femininity.

Han Ga-In in "Witch Amusement"
I absolutely fell in love with Han Ga-In after watching this drama. Her hairstyle is cute and sexy at the same same time.

And… let’s not forget this blast from the past –
Yoon Eun Hye in “1st Shop of Coffee Prince”
I always say that Yoon Eun Hye sacrificed a lot for her character, but all was worth it considering how popular Coffee Prince became. Although I sincerely hope she can go for a more glamorous image in future dramas, her tomboyish style was definitely memorable.

Kara Sponsors Tweety

On the 24th, girl group Kara attended an event for the launching of a brand new clothing brand called "Tweety." That's right, the yellow bird from Looney Toons from the good ol' days.

Movie company, Warner Brothers, signed an exclusive contract and have successfully expanded their "Tweety" franchise to Korea. With the undeniable cuteness combo of both Tweety bird and the girls of Kara, the company hopes this fashion brand will become a surefire hit for girls everywhere.

Check out these pictures from the event.

Making Of Big Bang’s Heaven

Posted by Nez 0 comments

The making of video for Big Bang's latest MV "My Heaven" is not what you expect, with 80% of the video focused on G-Dragon while the others are left fighting over the other 20%.

I must say with all the couple shots, G-Dragon and his lover would make a perfect couple for Mnet Scandal. Daesung in the short amount of time we see him has regained his cute guy image back, not the tough guy image he had for the single's photoshoot.
