2009 may have been the year of girl groups, but the handful of boy bands that debuted in the latter half can't possibly go unnoticed. Take, for example, the six gentlemen from Cube Entertainment who eventually formed BEAST (Boys of the East Standing Tall).
BEAST's debut was a highly-anticipated one as many people were already familiar with the individual members. Yoon Doojoon, the team's leader, had trained under JYP Entertainment for a long time and even appeared in the Mnet documentary "Hot Blood" alongside 2PM and 2AM.
A video clip of Doojoon during his pre-debut days has found its way in the hands of the public. The leader of BEAST flaunts his vocals during his audition, which attests to the talent he possessed even before he joined a group. Talk about an early bloomer.
Aside from singing his rendition of Brian McKnight's One Last Cry, Fly to the Sky's Missing You, and Neyo's So Sick, Doojoon expresses that he wants to become a singer like Maxwell and Brown Eyed Soul and that he is also a fan of the Wonder Girls.

Just imagine: this guy could have almost ended up as your P.E. teacher. Thank goodness JYP got a hold of him before a high school principal did.
Shout-out to Taeyangfan for the heads up. For anything and everything BEAST, head on over to their international fan forum B2ST Rising!
Take out with full credits.
