Theme park gets named after Kim Yuna

In Gyunggido Bucheon, Korea is currently building a theme park called the Kim Yuna Park. Yes, you heard me right. This theme park will be named after the nation’s and arguably the world’s greatest figure skating star Kim Yuna. Kim Yuna was born and raised in the area, so it makes sense – sort of.

Anyway, although it will be a theme park, it’s not quite like a Six Flags. Instead, it’ll be more of a cultural, tourism oriented attraction site.

Kim Yuna’s quite the national representative, huh? I am happy she is being honored, but man, that’s even more pressure on this young superstar.

Rain and Yu-Na Make Top 4 of 2010 Time 100 Poll

Global star Rain has made it once again on the Time 100 Poll and this time, newcomer ice-skating Olympic champion Kim Yu-Na joins in the ranking.

As taken from the Time website:

Cast your votes for the leaders, artists, innovators and icons who you think are the most influential people in the world. Though official voting for inclusion on the TIME 100 list has now closed, with Mir-Hossein Mousavi having won the honor, users can continue to vote for their favorites until the list is revealed on Thursday, April 29th.

The top 2 spots are currently occupied by Mir-Hossein Mousavi, an Iranian politician and the last prime minster of Iran from 1981 – 1989, and Han Han, a multifaceted Chinese national and Shanghai native who is an active professional rally driver, best-selling author, singer and not to mention China’s most popular blogger.

Among the other candidates whom Rain and Yu-na were able to beat were US President Obama, actor Robert Pattinson, and musicians Lady Gaga, Elton John and Adam Lambert.

2AM ChangMin, “Best couple with Kim YunA? I’m shy~”

2AM ChangMin reveals that he felt shy being chosen as the best couple with Kim YunA.

On MBC TV ‘Section TV Entertainment News’ aired on 26th march, 2AM was interviewed at their CF filming site with actress Han HyoJoo. And recently a poll conduct on a various online site showed that 2AM ChangMin has been chosen to be best couple with national figure skater Kim YunA.

When asked how he felt about it, ChangMin’s answered had made not only the 2AM members but also the others at the filming set in amusement.

Kim Hyun Joong & Kim Yuna are the most marketable CF models of 2009

SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong and figure skater Kim Yuna have been voted as the most marketable CF models for 2009. On December 21st, marketing website ADwaple released the results for a poll that ran from November 30 to December 13th, which asked 10,000+ people to rate the most marketable CF models of the year.

Kim Hyun Joong took the top spot among the male celebrities, beating out Lee Minho and Lee Seung Gi and garnering 27.1% of the votes. Kim Yuna was the big winner in the female category with 34% of the votes, placing SNSD and Lee Hyori in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

In the idol group category however, SNSD managed to take the top spot.
