Promo pics from the joint Korean and Japanese Telecinema production “19” starring Big Bang’s TOP and Seungri as well as actress Heo Yi Jae were released recently.
“19” (also known as My 19, My 19 year old, and 19 years old) follows the life of three 19 year old teenagers (TOP, Seungri, and Heo Yi Jae) on the run after being accused of murdering someone. The police, the media, friends, and even their families all believe that they are guilty of the crime. While on the run, all three of them become closer and they realize how precious life is and that they shouldn’t take it for granted.
Originally, fellow YG Entertainment member Sandara Park was casted to play the part of the lead female in “19” but, because of her activities with 2NE1, she had to forfeit her part in the project thus Heo Yi Jae snagged the role of the female lead.
From the pictures, it seems like TOP is the only one that will be getting intimately close with Yi Jae. You never know though, there still could be a love triangle in the storyline between TOP, Yi Jae, and Seungri. Filming for “19” just began this month, so we’ll find out for sure once the project gets closer to its release date (which is sometime in late 2009) and they present more info on the storyline. If TOP and Seungri are going to be involved in a love triangle with Yi Jae, then how exactly is it going to work? Because TOP is such a gangster, and since their circumstances call for them to stick close together, will it be similar to the Katie situation on The Mad Real World? If so then Seungri’s character better have his vaseline supply in check.
