The man behind Lee Byung Hun’s girlfriend controversy?

We covered on the sticky situation Lee Byung Hun is twisted in at the moment with his alleged ex-girlfriend filing a lawsuit against him for using her as "entertainment" on charges of "physical and mental suffering."
Although the incident sounded relatively simple at first, further reports have revealed that the scandal is extremely complex and serious; in fact, even a gang riot has been linked to the case. On the 14th, the set of KBS 2TV IRIS was invaded by gang members who used violence toward staff members. The police and the company concluded that the riot was conducted by a well-known celebrity who has a record of gambling, Kang Byung Kyu. They assumed he had called the gang to raid the shooting site to pay a revenge for Kwon Mi Yeon, the alleged ex-girlfriend.
However, Kang Byung Kyu is currently denying this fact aggressively, and has revealed that he will file a lawsuit toward TaeWon Entertainment, who had accused him for being in charge of the event. On December 21 around 12:35PM after the investigation, Kang stated,
"The story about me calling in those gangs is not true at all. I have actually been beaten directly by Jung Tae Won, the president of the company. The rumor that claims that I am related to Lee Byung Hun's ex-girlfriend, Kwon Mi Yeon is also not true, and I have been receiving many death threats through phone calls with Jung."
Kang Byung Kyu had also revealed that he had attempted to compromise with Jung on the 14th, but received violent beatings for 20 minutes, resulting in 3 weeks of hospitalization. He persuaded the reporters that he was helplessly being framed for false accusations.
A representative of the police department stated, "No evidence has been found proving his relation to the gang riot yet. Since both sides are claiming to be the victim of this case, we will carefully investigate this much deeper."
Whoa, this case just got much more complicated... with Kang Byung Kyu thrown in the mix, nobody is sure whether he is a threat or the threatened. Stay tuned as allkpop continues breaking news of this hot issue to you first!
