Although there’s no official word about this yet, it looks like SMTOWN Live 10 will be taking place this August.

SMTOWN Live 09 had been sensationally postponed at the very last moment due to a lawsuit filed by 3 TVXQ members, although most felt that the reason given by SM Entertainment was unconvincing.

[TRANS] 090816 TVXQ Fancafe's Prosecution Application About SMTOWN LIVE'09 Postponement

On last August 14th, DBSK fancafe submitted a prosecution application to Korea Consumer Protection Board with subject ‘The postpone of SMTOWN LIVE ‘09′.

The fancafe explained their background of accusation, “They acted unilaterally in postponing the concert, without consideration and fooling all the consumers who had already bought the concert tickets. Thus, we submitted this application.”

In the statement which DBSK fancafe submitted to Korea Consumer Protection Board, they mentioned, “SMTOWN LIVE ‘09 which is scheduled to be held on August 16th is indefinitely postponed.

The postpone was announced a week ago (August 7th) with the reason that DBSK’s case status will make the whole SM family couldn’t unite in the concert.

However, on August 14th when SM released SMTOWN Summer album ‘09, they promoted the song by stressing it as ‘a song which shows friendship among the young men‘ which shows a whole contradictory.

DBSK fancafe demanded not only full refund of their tickets, but also 10% admission fee as compensation and official apology from SM Entertainment.

Super Junior’s “Carnival” is a remake

SM Entertainment seems to be batting a thousand these days!

Turns out that Super Junior's latest song "Carnival" for SM Town's new Summer 2009 Album, was a remake from a band hilariously named, "Chipz" from The Netherlands who made the hit "Carnival" back in 2005.

The beat of the songs are exactly the same, so there is no need to fear plagiarism - it's obviously licensed. But too bad they didn't cook up a new song, right? Ahhh whatever, it's still a great track - we love it dearly! Both of them actually.

First Track Off SM Town’s New Album is Out!

The first of four tracks on the new SM Town's album is out, and it features three powerhouse boy bands: DBSK, Super Junior and Shinee. It doesn't even matter what the song sounds like, just having those 3 names attached to it is enough to sell it. The track is called Seaside, and the chorus sounds a little like "Under the Sea" from Disney's The Little Mermaid. There are three remaining tracks, and they will be released one per day, so stay tuned to allkpop for their release.

[NEWS] 090807 SM Concert was Postponed

Due to lawsuit from TVXQ SM Entertainment (SM)’s SM Concert was postponed.

On August 7th, SM representative said, “SMTOWN LIVE’09 which will be held August 16 at the Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium will be temporarily postponed,” he said. For the sake of quality of performance, since there’s still TVXQ dispositition running against SM, the current time is not a good environtment to make decision regarding the concert, thus it need to be temporarily postponed.

“We’re really sorry to tell you the unfortunate news.” SM representative closed his statement.

SMTown Live concert 09 to take place coming August

Dong Bang Shin Ki, Super Junior, So Nyeo Shi Dae etc will come together for SMTown Live concert this year again.

SMTOWN LIVE 09 will take place on 16th August from 5pm till 10 pm in SEoul JamSil Olympic stadium. The artistes from SM Entertainment like Dong Bang Shin Ki, Super Junior, Jang Ri In, So Nyeo Shi Dae, SHINee etc will be performing in front of their fans.

The artistes will be putting up a variety of performances. And also for this concert, there will be a special performing guest appearing.

Sales to the tickets to the concert will start on 23rd July on GMarket.

Adamas would like to talk to SM artists but everthing was so in a rush on that night.

Every SM artist was very impressed with everything the fans did for them such as the cheercode, the glow sticks etc. SM artists would like to apologise for the inconvenient and for the non-perfect performance.

Yunho was so impressed with the birthday cake. He said “the cake was so delicious” (though he didn’t mean to taste it but it was all over his face and his mouth) Yunho hope this concert could impress everyone. Especially Mirotic cuz it’s the 1st time DBSK performed Mirotic outside Korea. In the end Yunho said to Thai cassiopeia “see you again real soon”

Changmin said he heard the fans encore request was super load (that’s why he lost control and had so much fun during the concert)



SUJU said they were so happy to get to meet Thai ELF. The stadium is so huge. This was the great concert.

SNSD said Thai fans ar so sweet and they’d like to visit Thailand again.

Adamas didn’t get a chance to talk with Zhang Ri in and SHINee. But all of them would like to thank to Thai fans. SM artist gave it 100% in this concert.

*We are really sorry for our sitting seat and the VIP seat zone
-We couldn’t really control everyone to sit (other countries got more problem than us)

*Concert has been delayed
-Adamas tried our best to make it on time because the aritsit gotta go back on that night. So SM kinda rushed the artists to perform on the stage. If you notice, the artists did continue performing so fast. And at the break time, normally it’s 30 - 40 mins but in Bangkok the artists took a break less than 20 mins.

*Concert finished too soon
-SM forced us to finish the concert before 10pm

*The amounts of the songs are less than any other place?
-Not true! If you counted it’s nearly the same. Adamas felt really sorry for the artists. Remember double attack from DBSK + SJ? The boys performed non stop dance songs. We saw some of them nearly lied/bended down on the floor cuz they were too tired. But in front of the stage you gotta see their smile only.

-The fact that DBSK arrived to Banngkok around 1am and went to bed around 3am, got up in the morning for the rehearsal. And it’s sooo damn sunny and so damn hot during the rehearsal (The boys skin turn so red) But they gave it 100% on the rehearsal cuz there were so many new performance on the stage.


-Heechul was so sick but he got better at the concert (he did it for all the fans) Siwon’s leg got hurt but no one noticed that on the stage (after the concert he sat down on the floor) We really wanna cry for SM artists spririts.

*The sound wasn’t that good
-Adamas did bring all of our best speakers, but it’s still not enough

-The sound wasn’t clear at some spot becuase the Korean staff mix their voice and our speakers

SM Town in Thailand!

Dong Bang Shin Ki, Super Junior, So Nyeo Shi Dae and SHINee came together for a special joint stage for their company SM Entertainment’s concert in Thailand.

‘SMTOWN LIVE’08 in BANGKOK’ which opened and ended successfully on 7th February in Bangkok Rajamangala National Stadium. The SM Entertainment singers have come together to perform on the stage after their concert performances in Seoul and ShangHai. This concert performance had seen about 40,000 fans attending it.

The concert lasted for about 4 hours with performances of hit songs by Super Junior, Super Junior-M, Super Junior Happy, So Nyeo Shi Dae, Jang RiIn, SHINee etc.

The Thai fans had actually learned the Korean lyrics to the hit songs had sang along with their idol to show encourage and support to their idols. There was also a special dance performance by 10 of the SM Ent singers - Dong Bang SHin Ki UKnow YunHo, Xiah JunSu, Super Junior HanKyung, Hee Chul, Shin Dong, Eun Hyuk, Dong Hae, So Nyeo Shi Dae Hyo Yeon, Yuri and SHINee TaeMin.

The fans also had a birthday celebration for the February babies - UKnow YunHo, Max ChangMin, Super Junior HangKyung, ShiWon, Kyu Hyun, Jang Ri In and So Nyeo Shi Dae SooYoung.
