You may know that new idol group Infinite made a cameo appearance in Epik High’s Run music video. Now, a member of the group, L, is gathering attention for looking like actor Kim Bum!
Recently, L appeared on Mnet Idol Theater, Infinite You’re my Oppa. Since his appearance on the show, netizens acknowledge his resemblance to Kim Bum and became even more hyped up about Infinite’s debut.
One year ago, L was an ordinary high school student; however, he was the first one to be picked for the new idol group when he auditioned after being cast in the streets. He was also the main character of the Run music video.
A representative said, “Within a week after rumors that L looked like Kim Bum surfaced, a fan cafe was opened, and already 1400 members joined.”
He also added, “We were hesitant to put an unknown rookie as the main subject of the music video, but he earned high points because of his fresh image.”

A World Date With Kim Bum

And get this, Kim Bum picked the winners himself!
On April 16th, KBS World officially announced 5 lucky girls who were respectively from Vietnam (Tran Thi Mong), Malaysia (Nadira Hanum Binti Akbar Shah), Singapore (Ho Ruo Yun), Thailand (Sasiwimon Buranabanyat) and Philippines (Bianca Gonzales) to get closer with Kim Bum for 4 days. Don’t you think 4 days is too short for a date? Ha! Too long or too short, it could mean a whole year for these girls!
Check out the videos below, but before that, people with raging hormones were curious on how they chose the winners. Well, the criterias for the final selection were as follows:
- Person who can speak English
- Person who is over the age of 20 (By Korean law, we cannot film one under 20, without the parents’ consent.)

‘Boys Over Flowers’ Cast Visit Japan

Korean wave heats up Japan as the cast of the phenomenal Asian hit TV drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ dropped by over the weekend.

Promoting their TV series, actors Lee MinHo, Kim Bum, Kim Joon and Goo HyeSun showed up at the ‘Boys Over Flowers Last Event – Graduation’ held in Yokohama, Japan. The event started with an opening performance by T-Max, alongside member Kim Joon, and serenaded 5,000 attendees with the series’ soundtrack including Paradise, Say Yes, Empty Bet and Bang Bang Boom.

Due to unfortunate reasons, heartthrob Kim HyunJoong wasn’t able to attend the event but as what they’ve said – the show must go on. Meanwhile, with the undoubtedly huge success of the three month run of the Korean drama adaptation of the Japanese manga ‘Hana Yori Dango’, the ‘Boys Over Flowers’ cast will continue to attend various fan meetings in neighboring Asian countries.

Kim So Eun has an awkward relationship with Kim Bum

Actress Kim So Eun has come out and explained why her relationship with Kim Bum has become awkward now.

Kim So Eun will be appearing on the February 18th episode of Happy Together Season 3 to promote her new drama, A Good Day For The Wind To Blow where she was asked about her relationship with Kim Bum. If you didn’t know, Kim So Eun and Kim Bum were a couple in Boys Before Flowers and were coined as the SoEul couple by fans.

Before Boys Before Flowers, they were actually on really good terms with each other as they were both majoring in film studies at Chung-Ang University. As a result, they got along really well with each other during filming and their chemistry showed.

They maintained contact with each other even after filming ended and also collaborated together on several CFs.

Kim So Eun expressed, “After the drama ended, our relationship became kind of awkward because of all the scandals. Although we still have a good relationship like in the past, we couldn’t contact each other in the aftermath of all the scandals. Even when we meet at the tv station, it becomes very awkward between us.”

Kim Bum opens up about criticism

Kim Bum of MBC’s “Woman Who Still Wants to Marry,” recently opened up about having to deal with criticism as an actor.

On February 2, Kim Bum participated in an on-set interview, which took place during the taping of Woman Who Still Wants to Marry. A reporter asked Kim Bum how he dealt with criticism from viewers who have trouble sympathizing with the character he portrays on TV. In response, Kim Bum replied: “I cut off my ethernet cord few days ago,” revealing his ongoing struggle dealing with critics.

Kim Bum went onto say: “In the beginning, I didn’t really pay attention to what people said, but one day, I started taking notice… As I grow as an actor, and am able to give my best, I would be more open to criticism. I look forward to showing my fans more of my work in the future”

Kim Bum fails to please on High Kick Through the Roof

We reported earlier that Kim Bum would make a special guest appearance on the December 21st episode of High Kick Through the Roof, and he did, but netizens are disappointed to say the least.

The producer stated that Kim Bum would show off his muscles on this episode, but netizens have expressed their disappointment regarding the hype.

"They said Kim Bum would show off how much he has worked out and built up his muscles, but what the hell is this."

"I didn't see Kim Bum's abs, I only saw his arm muscles."

I don't recall whether the PD's stated that Kim Bum would reveal his abs or not, but I'm assuming they mislead fans.

Kim Bum Channels His Inner BoA?

For Kim Bum's latest movie, Emergency, Kim Bum was spotted with half a head full of cornrows - which looks quite similar to something BoA sported earlier this year!

Two new pictures of Kim Bum in his latest movie, Emergency, has caused a recent swarm of interest amongst Netizens. In the photos, Kim Bum is shown daunting "half-cornrows." Netizens have been busy talking about these pictures, saying that they looked almost exactly like what BoA had daunted earlier this year at the San Francisco Pride Festival in California.
Emergency is a film about an aspiring actor who currently is working at a local nightclub as a host. Throughout the "youth action movie," it was described that Kim Bum has to risk everything he has to protect the woman that he loves.

Kim Bum and Kim So Eun for Bonjuk Calendar

Back in June, the popular couple, Kim Bum and Kim So Eun (So-Eul) from the hit drama Boys Over Flowers got together to endorse the rice porridge chain Bonjuk. Well it seems Bongjuk is offering an incentive for buying their food. At some of the participating Bonjuk's, if you spend over 15,000 won (around $11) you can receive a 2010 calendar featuring the So-Eul couple.

Kim Bum's Having Fun In Japan

As previously reported, popular actor Kim Bum of "Boys Before Flowers", "Dream" and "East of Eden" fame is going to be releasing a single in Japan. Well, the handsome guy that many girls hold dearly to their hearts seems to be loving his time in Japan overall. Photos from his Osaka fan meeting have been posted and it looks like it's been all fun and games for Kim Bum. At least some because after all fan meeting does require some work.

In the last month the actor has also been to England besides Japan and with the year he's had from a drama and film standpoint, some of the sightseeing and leisure time he has been getting has been surely due. Rest up Kim Bum because your future is just going to continue to get brighter.

Kim Bum off to Japan to sing?

On November 2nd, Kim Bum returned to Korea after his trip to London, England. He won't have much time to rest because he's scheduled to be in Osaka, Japan for a fan meeting on November 8th. He's also planning to release his first single album during the trip as well.

At the previous Japanese fan meeting, Kim Bum sang I'm going to meet her, a promotional song for Boys Over Flowers. He recorded a Japanese version of the song and will be releasing this single in Japan. Thanks to bumsso for sharing the information.

Kim Bum in London

The Boys Over Flowers star Kim Bum seems to be a very busy man these days. Shortly after leaving the Philippines to film an RC Cola Commercial with Maja Salvador, he flew to London, England.

A representative from Kim Bum's agency, King Kong Entertainment, stated that Kim Bum left for London, England on the 23rd and he's staying in London for 6 days to attend and participate in the 'Go Green Village' environmental protection activities. Because England is considered one of the leading countries in the area of protecting the environment, Kim Bum is studying and witnessing examples of what they're doing and also learn more about the policies. He will then go back and try to advocate these studies, examples, and policies in Korea.
