Currently acting in the drama “Voice ~The voices of the dead~,” he talked a lot about the drama.
He also told us what it was like behind the scenes in the special show hosted by Nakai-kun!

"I got to be on lots of shows to promote the drama “Voice~,” but in the “~D-1 Grand Prix” hosted by Nakai-kun, I did and imitation of Nakai-kun. When I used to be on a Jr. show before, Tackey and Yoko would be like, “Ah, it’s Nakai-kun” and make me do it all the time, but I didn’t think I’d ever do it in front of the actual person (laughs). Yoko really loves my “the way Matsuoka-kun runs” too, he loves it so much he still makes me do it. On radio (laughs). The listeners totally have no idea what’s going on… but still (laughs).

Also, we did that huge jumprope on that show right? The representative men in each drama tried it, but it went on and on… I think we jumped for about 50 times. But I think I tried a bit too hard, I could see stars flying around in front of my eyes later and I was like, staring off into space for a while (laughs). I thought I had quite a lot of strength through doing stageplays and stuff, so it was quite a shock to me. I wondered whether it was just me, so I asked some of the actors whom I knew, and they were all like, “my lungs hurt,” just like me (laughs). I was glad~, that it wasn’t just me (laughs). But really, I do think I’m quite strong in a way. I’ve never been really sick since I was a kid, and I rarely catch colds even after growing up. Even I was in that state, so if it were a normal person, they probably would’ve fainted (laughs).

At the drama site, the cold during location shoots is tough~. But this time I don’t have to wear shorts, so that helps a lot (laughs). Also, the coat I wear before we actually film is really well made, it’s warm to start with, but it even has little pockets on the back and everywhere where you can insert handwarmers and stuff. There’s a little heater too, and the catered food is warm too, so I think I’ll make it through all the way.

It’s a drama about youth, so there’re lots of young people around and the site’s quite cheerful. I’ve gotten close to Eita-kun, and we’ve gone out to eat a ton of times already. Eita-kun’s serious, but he’s quite funny. I think you might think he’s not the type to joke around, but he says funny things too. The filming site’s basically cheerful, but there’re serious scenes too so the atmosphere totally changes at times like that. It’s a site where when necessary, we get things done.

I tend to really get into the role of my character, but this time not so much, it’s quite realistic. Roles I’ve played till now tended to be really unique and be based on manga right? But this time it’s set in a realistic world. But this isn’t to say this “realness” is similar to the real me, I mean how viewers would see a “realistic” university student. So this time I haven’t done anything special to get into my role. I hope that when people watch, they’ll easily be taken into the drama’s setting."
