Kang Ho Dong becomes Taecyeon for “My Ear’s… Pig”?

Funny MC Kang Ho Dong transformed into 2PM’s beastly Taecyeon on 1 Night 2 Days. On this episode of the show, the members had a talent show. Kang Ho Dong said before that he would perform My Ear’s Pig, a parody of My Ear’s Candy, with Baek Ji Young herself.

Well, it was finally time for him to do this hilarious rap. The two performed in sexy costumes and blew everyone away. The lyrics were also altered, showing that Ho Dong really put some time into this performance. The lyrics went, “My ear’s pig, number 1 rated wild pig… put it on top of lettuce.” Needless to say, this was one heck of a performance that had viewers on the floor in laughter.

1 Night 2 Days associate said, “Kang Ho Dong called Baek Ji Young a month ago and has practiced up to now. He recorded the song and even learned the dance. This really shows how much effort he puts into his work.”

Netizens commented, “I was laughing so hard because of his transformation to Ok Taecyeon,” “I couldn’t hold my laughter from the funny lyrics,” and “2PM should be jealous of Ok Pig’s charisma.”

Kang HoDong VS Yoo JaeSeok, 2PM VS Big Bang are the top 2 showdowns netizens wish to see

Netizens have chosen the 2 national MCs Kang Ho Dong and Yoo JaeSeok as the rival showdown which they wish to see the most.

Yes24 did a poll from 21st till 28th December on “Like Seol KyungGoo and Ryu SeungBeom, which is the top showdown you wish to see?” in lieu of the upcoming movie ‘No Forgiveness’ to be aired on 7th January. And the results were announced on 29th December.

A total of 1052 netizens voted and the showdown they wish to see the most is between Kang Ho Dong and Yoo JaeSeok voted at #1 with 48% votes (508).

Voted #2 is the showdown ‘2PM VS Big Bang’ with 26% votes (276). The 2 are 2 of the top boybands in Kpop.

Kang Ho Dong is not leaving 1 Night 2 Days

Rumors have been flying around that Kang Ho Dong is set to leave his hit variety show 1 Night 2 Days next year because his contract will be up.

Now, don't get upset fans, because this rumor has been refuted by the main PD himself. "This rumor came out of nowhere," he stated. "I never talked about this or heard about this. I'm not sure what his contract says but I know it's not ending in the beginning of next year."

Instead of worrying over Kang Ho Dong leaving, you guys should be excited for the returnof Kim Jong Min!

People no longer care for stars’ Strong Heart?

At least that’s what the rating suggests.

According to the latest poll from AGB Nielsen Media Research, the most recent episode of SBS’ Strong Heart, which aired on November 24th garnered 14.8% viewership, which is 3.4% less than the 18.2% viewership they scored the previous week, on the 17th. Ever since the first episode of Strong Heart aired, the show has been garnering an average of 17~18% viewership each week. This week marks the lowest rating for the show since the first episode aired.

However on the same night, KBS 2TV’s Sang Sang Plus saw an increase of 3.6% in its viewership, bringing the number up to 9.7% from previous week’s 6.1%, suggesting people who were previously tuning into Strong Heart were tuning into Sang Sang Plus on that night. Did the combined presence of Brown Eyed Girls, 2AM and Kara as guests make viewers turn in to Sang Sang Plus instead of Strong Heart?
Many people are now wondering how Strong Heart will get its viewers back in the upcoming weeks and was it just a one-off thing. But one thing that SBS can take heart in was that Strong Heart remains No.1 among competing programs for Tuesday night.

Which male star took Gyuri’s first kiss?

Kara's Gyuri revealed on a taping of Strong Heart/Kang Shim Jang the details of her first kiss.

Gyuri said, "The person who I had my first kiss with is here."

After revealing this news, she pointed out who that person was. The cast and audience members couldn't hide their shock. The guy himself said he couldn't remember the kiss, to which Gyuri responded, "Don't act like you don't remember!"

The mystery man is Kang Ho Dong! I know your initial reaction may be, "Ew! Gyuri and Kang Ho Dong?!" Those are two people you would never put together.

Here's how the juicy story went down. When Gyuri was 7-years-old, she was on a show called Today is a Good Day where Kang Ho Dong was an actor in Sonagi. Gyuri was the girlfriend of Kang Ho Dong's brother on the show but Gyuri was kissed by Kang Ho Dong himself!

Lee Seung Gi to Host Kang Shim Jang

Singer Lee Seung Gi has been selected to host SBS'snew variety program called 'Kang Shim Jang' (Strong Heart) with fellow 1N2D member, Kang Ho Dong.

This will be Seung Gi's first time being a main show host, and fans are excited to see how well he will do in leading the new variety talk show. His collaboration with Kang Ho Dong is also receiving a lot of positive feedbacks, saying it will be a wonderful synergy. Fans have already been watching their sizzling chemistry every week through KBS2TV's 1N2D.

Strong Heart will be an intense talk show with 25 of Korea's top stars. The last celebrity who survives the heated discussions will be crowned the winner, or 'Strong Heart'. Top stars such as Big Bang's G-Dragon and Seungri, Epik High, Jang Yoon Jung, MC Mong, and Yoo Sae Yoon have been invited as guests for the inaugural episode.

Kang Ho Dong and Yoo Jae Suk now under one roof

Korea’s top MCs, Kang Ho Dong and Yoo Jae Suk, now belong to the same entertainment agency upon the merger between DY Entertainment and The Chocolate ENTF.

The Chocolate’s clients such as Ko Hyun Jung, Yoon Jong Shin, and Kim Tae Woo join Noh Hong Chul, Shin Dong Yup, Lee Hyuk Jae, amongst others under the name DY Entertainment.

Kang Ho Dong Becomes a Father

Comedian (and MC) Kang Ho Dong and wife Lee Hyo Jin are now parents to a healthy baby boy.

On the afternoon of March 13, Lee gave birth naturally at a hospital in Gangnam, Seoul to a son weighing 3.3 kilograms. Both mother and son are in healthy condition.

Kang Ho Dong was not present for the birth. He was in Jeolla-do, filming with the cast and crew of 1 Night 2 Days (1N2D / 1박2일). He was overjoyed to hear the news, as he had greatly anticipated a son.

The couple has been married since November 2006. Preceding the birth, they had been calling the baby Baekdoosan (Mount Baekdoo) because the baby was conceived following 1N2D’s trip to the mountain.
