Kim Jong Kook still loves Yoon Eun Hye?

Posted by Nez 0 comments

Though Kim Jong Kook and Yoon Eun Hye never truly were together, as far as we know, they definitely were put under the spotlight after the romantic theme they had on a past variety show, X-Man. On the show, these two were always a couple and Kim Jong Kook used some cheesy moves to show his affection.

They have have denied dating rumors ever since but it seems like Kim Jong Kook wants these rumors to start up again. On a radio interview with Choi Hwa Jung, he picked Yoon Eun Hye as his ideal type in terms of looks. He said, “She has a round face and isn’t too skinny. That’s what I like and she still looks the same.”

Regarding his Family Outing girl Lee Hyori he said, “It was so awkward at first. After the show ended, it got better but compared to other members, we’re the most awkward. We’re both far from our own ideal types.”

He continued to reveal some interesting news. He said, “I only have seven women’s contact information on my phone: Park Kyung Lim, Shinji, Yoon Eun Hye, Park Ye Jin, Park Si Yeon, Shin Bong Sun and Song Eun-I.” How is it possible that he doesn’t have Hyori?

On Golden Fishery – Radio Star he was asked about Lee Hyori and he answered, “As a woman, she’s good.”

He continued, “She’s pretty and very successful. She’s also a good cook. She has quite a personality as well.”

But when he had to choose between Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Hyori, he chose Yoon Eun Hye. I guess he’s sticking with his original girl.

Yoon Eun Hye and Kim Jong Kook, the scandal never dies

Posted by Nez 0 comments
Yoon Eun Hye has finally talked about her scandal with Kim Jong Kook several years back.

On KBS Happy Together Season 3 on the 20th of August, she appeared on the show and talked about the scandal that occurred while she was on the popular variety show X-Man.

Yoon Eun Hye mentioned, "At the time when the scandal occurred, my parents were happier than I was about it. When they saw the scandal on the front page, they even put it on the desk. But when they found out that it wasn't true, they were really disappointed."

The hosts and guests on Happy Together with Yoon Eun Hye seemed to be on the same wavelength as her parents because they didn't hide the fact that they thought that Yoon Eun Hye and Kim Jong Kook looked good together. Yoon Eun Hye did go on to say that they are still rather close and do call each other sometimes.

When asked about her sudden appearance at Kim Jong Kook's concert earlier in the year, Yoon Eun Hye explained, "I actually went to the preview of Daniel Henney's movie, Wolverine as well, but only the fact that I went to Kim Jong Kook's concert made news. It doesn't look like I'll have a scandal with Daniel Henney anytime soon."

It's really a shame that they never went out, because I really thought they looked cute together as well. If the two were on We Got Married, they'd be able to save the dying show. Regardless of how many popular pairings Yoon Eun Hye has had (Joo Ji Hoon, Gong Yoo), I feel that the Yoon Eun Hye - Kim Jong Kook pairing was the best.

Kim Jong Kook’s First Japanese Concerts

Posted by Nez 1 comments
Family Outing's mosquito-voiced muscle man, Kim Jong Kook, kicked off the hallyu stage of his career with two concerts in Japan last weekend. The shows took place on May 30th and 31st, with the first at Tokyo Nakano Sun Plaza Hall and the second at Osaka NHK Hall.

Fans lined up in droves for the event, with KJK's Japanese fan club preparing a gift for their buff hunk who came across the sea:

Having greeted his audience first in Japanese, Kim Jong Kook then told everyone that he was "grateful towards everyone that came to my first Japanese concert" and that the concert would "show everyone my entire 15-year music career from the Turbo era to today." Yoon Eun Hye's main squeeze sang his songs in reverse chronological order, performing his solo hits "Today More Than Yesterday", "Can't Get Better Than This", and Loveable as the mostly female show ate up the show and muscular accompaniment. But to the disappointment of many Family Outing fans, Yoo Jae Suk wasn't there to parody "Today More Than Yesterday", as he often does on the show to an incredulous Kim Jong Kook. Maybe next time.

After performing his newer solo songs, KJK brought back a blast from the past, calling former bandmate Mickey up to the stage for some Turbo resurrection. The duo sang some of Turbo's 90s hits including "Love Is" and "My Childhood Dream", introducing Japanese fans - most of whom only knew Kim Jong Kook from his solo career - to their one man's turbo-charged past. KJK even catered to the audience by singing a Japanese song, giving fangirls a Happy Virus with his good Japanese. Hip-hop duo Mighty Mouth also performed for KJK's overseas venture, singing their own single "Energy" - I wonder if Kim Jong Kook sang Sun Ye's part with his own high-pitched voice?

Turbo & Mighty Mouth & his dancer.

The audience response was fantastic for both concerts, with news reports quoting that "Kim Jong Kook's sweet voice is the best" and "Jong Kook really has that aura that pulls people. Everyone at the concert hall was united." KJK fans were also extremely pleased at the concert's unique nostalgic structure. Because Kim Jong Kook has been in the music industry for so many years, the concert became a manifestation of his long career, with reminiscent video greetings from KJK's friends splicing the concert set, including messages from Lee Hyori, Shinhwa's Jun Jin, Big Bang's Daesung, My Sassy Girl's Cha Tae Hyun, and of course, Yoon Eun Hye. The concert also featured a lengthy montage recapping KJK's life in the entertainment world, inducing tears from the ahjummas who had followed the singer since their teenage years.

For three hours, it did not matter if you were young or old, Korean or Japanese, had followed KJK for fifteen years or didn't know Turbo from TaeBo - one could sing and dance to their heart's content simply as a KJK fan.

Kim Joon and Kang Min Kyung Duet

Posted by Nez 0 comments

During the Countdown Heroes segment on the 9th April episode of Mnet M! Countdown, T-Max's Kim Joon and Davichi's Kang Min Kyung did a cover of MC Mong's I Love U, Oh Thank You which was performed with G.O.D. member Kim Tae Woo back then. It was a decent cover of a great hit but of course no where close to what their predecessors did. When Kim Joon was rapping, I was half-expecting him to spout out his "Yo, what's up bro?" line from Boys Before Flowers. The ending was kind of awkward yet cute as they nodded their heads gently. Many thanks to jessi_x3 for tip.
