After School’s new member Lizzy revealed!

After revealing past photos of the newest member of After School, more information about the newest member, along with a picture has been released through Pledis Entertainment’s homepage!

Her name is Lizzy, and her home town is Busan. With a height of 168cm, she has a great body to go along with her great vocals and dancing skills. Through After School members and staff, she is known to have a cute accent with her image that looks like a puppy.

Netizens who have seen the picture have commented things like, “I want to see her perform with After School fast” and “She looks pretty, and it looks like she will be After School’s new fuel.”

Kim Hyun Joong and Yoon Eun Hye for Never Alone Campaign

Basic House celebrity models, Kim Hyun Joong and Yoon Eun Hye recently collaborated for a campaign together with UNICEF to sell t-shirts for charity.

The campaign titled “Never Alone” hopes to bring messages of love and dreams to African children and that no one should be alone in this unified world. Proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts will go towards helping the needy in Africa.

2PM new album release date on Cyworld taken down; Underground moves on with their 2nd boycott exercise

Following the chain of speculations and discussions after the date 10th November was stated as PM’s comeback new album release date on Cyworld on 28th October, the release date for the album was taken down from Cyworld on 30th October.

And on 28th October, fan union Underground handed over 6192 passbooks with 11,000 KRW in each to JYP headquarters in ChungDamDong, asking to return JaeBum to the group with the money the fans will be using to buy 2PM’s upcoming album.

And at the same time, on 28th October, 2PM fan union Underground return 6192 passbooks with 11,ooo KRW deposited in each one to JYP Entertainment. In each passbook is written, “We wish to use the money meant to buy 2PM’s new album for JaeBum to return” and “I ♡ 재범” at the back of the passbook.

UnderGround members revealed that this is one of their boycott measures to demand for JaeBum to return to 2PM.

And for this boycott exercise, fans from middle and high school, college, working adults in their 20s and 40s, parents and also overseas fans were mobilized.

Anibox did a survey from 20th till 27th October on Tooniland online on 1729 netizens asking the question “Which idol group star suits the anime character Naruto the best?”and DaeSung was chosen as #1 with 533 votes.

The reason that netizens chose DaeSung was that he is very energetic and likes to play and jokes around, similar to that Naruto.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon was also in a drama?

We all thought Lee Joon of MBLAQ was new to the acting scene, as he was cast in the upcoming movie Ninja Assasin alongside Rain. But it was recently discovered that he was in a daily sitcom back in 2008 called The Person is Coming.

The video below shows a bit of Lee Joon's acting and I gotta say, it was hilarious. Something that caught the attention of netizens though was that he looked different back then, really different. It's probably just due to growing up though.

Court rules in TVXQ’s favor

Earlier today, the court had issued a ruling that SM Entertainment cannot interfere with the individual activities of the three members of TVXQ: Hero Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu.

Basically, SM Entertainment can no longer claim full exclusivity on the three TVXQ members. However, the court was unable to decide on whether the contract is invalid at this point as there were way too many variables.

In response, SM Entertainment has revealed that they will immediately appeal the ruling. SME will also hold an official press conference to disclose the truth and their position regarding this matter, which was never revealed to the media previously.

This case ain't over yet as Sejong law firm, representing TVXQ, will file a lawsuit to be compensated for damages as well as to have the contract deemed invalid.

With the recent developments of this case, many feel confident that TVXQ will be able to continue as a group. We will just have to wait a little longer.

Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Seung Gi team up for Zipel

Lee Seung Gi and Yoon Eun Hye teamed up recently for a CF to endorse Zipel Kimchi refrigerators. This is their first time working together for Zipel, having both starred in individual CFs for the brand in the past.

This cute CF sees Yoon Eun Hye playing as Lee Seung Gi's nuna from next door who pays him a visit. She secretly takes out the kimchi from Seung Gi's fridge but is found out by him. But it all ends well as they ended up savouring the delicious kimchi together.

Tablo and Kang Hye Jung release wedding photos

Following their private wedding ceremony, Tablo and Kang Hye Jung were seen at the airport early this morning for their honeymoon in Europe.

Tablo and Kang Hye Jung arrived at Incheon Airport on the 27th at 8:00am. Although they seemed a bit tired, they finished their check-ins with a bright face. After exchanging their currency and having a sip of coffee with their families who visited, they departed for their flight to Europe at 8:55am. Before boarding, the couple also showed their love for each other as they groomed each other's hair.

The wedding ceremony, proceeded with a calm atmosphere throughout. It was said that Kang Hye Jung showed tears of joy during the ceremony.

Kang Hye Jung vowed to live as Tablo's wife as she said, "In the distant future, when someone asks me what has been my biggest achievement... I will answer as the times when I spent with you, sharing love and living by your side."

Tablo vowed as well, saying, "I think of you as my echo. When I first met you, I thought my mind and feelings which was spread out through the world had returned back to me as a person like you... Your wishes, hopes, dreams and happiness that you had throughout your life, I will give mine to you. I love you."

Tablo and Kang Hye Jung will return from their honeymoon early next month. The two are expecting a baby sometime in 2010. Their household will be in an apartment in Seoul, YongSanGoo. Congratulations to both and I wish them the best of luck!

Big Bang’s “Let Me Hear Your Voice” preview [Updated with another preview!]

We reported yesterday that Big Bang will be releasing their third single titled, “Let Me Hear Your Voice” (Koe Wo Kikasete), on November 4th in Japan. But don’t fret VIPs - you don’t have to wait that long, because a short preview has been released! I’m sure many VIPs will be happy since it sounds like Big Bang has gotten rid of the autotune (judging from the preview)!

UPDATE:

According to the TBS behind-the-scenes blog, Big Bang's "Let Me Hear Your Voice" will be the opening song for the drama Ohitorisama starring Mizuki Alisa and Koike Teppei. Sonic Groove's "Am I Fallin' in Love" is the official theme song for the drama stated by TBS’ official site. Ohitorisama premieres on Friday, October 16th at 10 PM in Japan! Be sure to tune in to catch Big Bang's opening song produced by 1TYM's Teddy Park.

Big Bang Parodies Beethoven Virus

Big Bang always entertains us with funny parodies, like their versions of Coffee Prince and Boys Over Flower (Part One & Part Two). Now they are back with another hilarious parody, and this time, it's Beethoven Virus (well, their version is about a dance crew, not an orchestra)! It is not technically new because some friendly users uploaded the fancam versions during Big Bang's concert back in February when the parody was first revealed. However, now it's back in DVD quality and with subs!

F.T. Island Cover Lee Seung Gi’s “Will You Marry Me”

F.T. Island's guitarist and bassist, Song Seung Hyun, and Lee Jae Jin, respectively, covered Lee Seung Gi's newest single "Will You Marry Me" on M! Countdown. Although it would have been better if the original singer sang the song, these two attempted to make up for Lee Seung Gi's absence. I was not expecting much since no one can beat Lee Hongki's voice, however, I was pleasantly surprised by these two boys. It seems that Hongki was not the only one who could sing in F.T Island! No wonder Jae Jin was casted in the musical, "Sonagi" back in April.

Although pleasantly surprised, in the big picture, the performance wasn't outstanding - it was just pretty decent. Song Seung Hyun forgot the lyrics in the middle but, I have to say, his adorable smile just washed away his mistake! I hope to see these two boys singing more in the future and also Lee Seung Gi himself performing his song!

Son Dambi and Hyun Bin’s garden5 CF

Smoking hot singer, plus soon to be actress, Son Dambi and actor Hyun Bin recently did a new CF for the “cultural complex” garden5. Garden5 is basically a massive shopping mall that is the size of a small village. It has almost 6,000 compartment stores, a multiplex theatre, an exhibition hall, and a spa.

Since it stars both Son Dambi and Hyun Bin, the garden5 CF is easy on the eyes for males and females alike. In the CF, Dambi and Hyun Bin give details to what garden5 has to offer in the style of on-the-scene reporters. Check it out.

Son Dambi looks lovely in that little dress. It’s obvious that she left her sexiness at home and brought her cuteness instead for the garden5 CF. I’m not complaining though. In the recent past people have been comparing Son Dambi to Lee Hyori, debating which one they think is a better singer, dancer, who is sexier, etc... Watching this CF made me think of that debate and I’ve come to the conclusion that Son Dambi pulls off cute a little better than Hyori, but Hyori is definitely sexier than Dambi. The reason why I think Dambi does cute better than Hyori is because it seems to me that Dambi just naturally acts cute without even trying, and her cuteness isn’t annoyingly over-the-top. However, there’s no denying that they both are superstars when it comes to acting cute and/or sexy, my magic rod can attest for that.

Big Bang shows off their Japanese Skills on MTV VMA Japan

BoA wasn't the only Korean artist in attendance at MTV VMA Japan on 30th May, Korean group Big Bang was there as well. They weren't there just for the festivities however, they actually had a role to play.

Big Bang was introduced as "Guest Celebrities" and showed off their Japanese and English linguistic skills for around 30 seconds before introducing Katy Perry. I can't really say much about their Japanese, because I don't know Japanese, but their English seemed pretty good. It seems like G-Dragon is getting better with the accent. In other news, TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki who weren't in attendance (because of their concerts) was nominated for the Best Group Video Award but unfortunately they didn't win. EXILE actually won the award, better luck next time boys.

Joo Ji Hoon’s Job Going Under

Joo Ji Hoon's future in showbiz is becoming more and more unclear after his recent problem with drugs.

He was recently spotted for a part in the new drama Tokyo Tower opposite actress Kim Ji Soo and had even gotten to the contract signing stage. However, it is possible that the contract will be dissolved due to his involvement in the scandal.

Officials involved in the making of Tokyo Tower stated, "Although Joo Ji Hoon's casting wasn't complete, it is true that it had came down to the contract stage. We are also very shocked over this scandalous event. The producers are now seriously considering his appearance in the drama. Truthfully, wouldn't his appearance in the drama be rather difficult? But there will be no problems with the filming of the drama itself. With or without the problem of Joo Ji Hoon's scandal, we plan to keep going and will start filming by end May or early June." Even though the drama problem wasn't really mentioned earlier, it was pretty obvious that they would have difficulty casting Joo Ji Hoon in it after this.

His movies Antique Bakery is being pulled early while The Naked Kitchen is now postponed indefinitely from Japanese theaters. Even his sold out fan meetings on the 15th & 16th in Osaka and Yokohama have been canceled (read that lawsuits incoming). He really has no one else to blame but himself for this problem though. No one told him that taking drugs and getting caught was going to be helpful for his career.
