Super Junior Kim HeeChul has always been famous in the Kpop circle for his appealing feminine features and for his cross-dressing.

And recently, he has been up with a new hobby to dress up, which is to dress up as female idols like So Nyeo Shi Dae Jessica and TaeYeon.

His latest work will have to be f(x) Sulli. He did the cross-dressing during Super Junior’s Taiwan concert lately.

JunHo, “I was hurt by mean comments saying that I went under the knife to look like Rain”

2PM JunHo talks about an incident related to mean comments fired at him on KBS ‘Win-Win’ aired on 23rd February.

On the show, MC Kim SeungWoo asked JunHo about any grievances he faced during his trainee days, “For my case, because I came in #1 for ‘SuperStar Survival’, I was under much pressure.”

It was known that JunHo had participated in SBS ‘Superstar Survival’ when he was 17 and won #1 beating the other 6500 competitors, and after which he entered as trainee in JYP Entertainment.

Even amongst the trainees, there were much attention placed on him. JunHo was the subject of jealousy by others, “Everyone would only call me ‘that kid’ and not know my name.”

And there was an incident where there were discussions by netizens on the internet commenting ‘Did he undergo plastic surgery to look at like Rain?’, causing misunderstanding about his resemblance to singer Rain. JunHo revealed, “I had received much hurt even before debut.”

But after debut, JunHo had learnt to just laugh those mean comments against him off, “I’m fine now. It is even fun to read the mean comments.” TaecYeon added, “We will laugh and talk the mean comments off.”

ZE:A ends “Mazeltov” promotions, comeback in March!

Children of Empire (ZE:A) ended their debut song’s “Mazeltov” promotions on the music programs last weekend and they’re currently working on the new song.

ZE:A’s agency representative said: “New songs are being recorded now. For the time being we’re concentrating on recording and in March new song and concept will be introduced .”

ZE:A debuted in 2010, although the group was supposed to debut in 2009 together with BEAST and MBLAQ . However, they were already known from Mnet’s “Children of Empire” reality show. They also performed 50 guerilla concerts, during which they improved their skills on stage.

In addition, as soon as they debuted they appeared in mobile phone CF, gaining a lot of popularity.

With ZE:A’s new song, BEAST’s announced comeback and MBLAQ’s new album in April, we can expect a fierce male idol group battle in the upcoming two months.

2AM, “It is sad to be compared with 2PM when we first debuted”

Idol ballad group 2AM reveals that the sorrow of not being able to get as much limelight as group 2PM when they first debuted.

The 2AM members were the surprise guests for 2PM on KBS ‘Win-Win’ show aired on 23rd February, showing their brotherly-love. And MC Kim SeungWoo asked, “When you first debuted, actually you were not being able to get as much limelight as 2PM. Even though you guys are all a family (in the same company), don’t you feel hurt?”.

And Jo Kwon said, “Actually 2AM even debuted 2 months faster. And at first because our group names are similar, there were a lot of comparison. This is to the extend that even JiYoungie hyung will only consider 2PM’s name for award ceremonies. Honestly, we had wanted to congratulate them a lot for getting much popularity as they are friends who are like our brothers, but it is just human to feel hurt.”

With that, other 2AM membera said, “But then again, the people who had comforted us the most at that time is also none other than 2PM. And because of times like those, we are able to build good friendships until today.”

T-ara up #1 on realtime chart with ‘Crazy Because Of You’, will it do better than ‘Bo Peep Bo Peep’?

T-ara’s new song ‘Crazy Because Of You’ has risen up to the #1 spot on Monkey3 realtime chart, joining the big match of the girlgroups.

According to the music specialty site Monkey3 realtime chart on 23rd February at 2pm, T-ara ‘Crazy Because Of You’ has surpassed So Nyeo Shi Dae, 2NE1 and KARA to be at the #1 spot.

T-ara is back with a new transformation, showcasing a new sexy image of them different from their usual cute image, garnering much anticipation and interests for their comeback.

With the comeback of T-ara into Kpop circle, the situation on music charts get a new change of scene. Before that, it has been the domination by So Nyeo Shi Dae, 2NE1 and KARA.

C.N Blue Kang MinHyuk’s tearful confession, “It really hurts to be misunderstood as a fake band’

Flower boy band C.N Blue drummer Kang MinHyuk talks about the hardship he had gone through to go come thus far.

During Mnet ‘CN BlueTory’ aired on 24th February, Kang MinHyuk spoke up about his anger of their musical capabilities of their idol band.

He said, “There was posts written on the internet about how C.N Blue did not plug in their instruments during their performance. We practise for so many years just to be able to perform in front of everyone, we came prepared and yet when I saw posts like that I feel very hurt. Like dance singers or all singers, band singers like us also went through a long period of training. We look at the popular musicians during their public performances and really practise very hard.” with tears flowing.

He added, “There is this bias about the band singers in our country and it becomes the walls of development and growth. And because of that, I am hurt and I want to break through this. So I tell myself that I have to work harder in the future.”

Other than that, leader member Jung YongHwa was also featured saying, “Even though we are receiving much love from fans these days, there are also those who go ‘Those kids are fake band’, and it is very sad to hear them. Hearing those words is just unfair and hard for us. But we will work hard to improve so as to be acknowledged as true musicians.”

T-ara and Supernova signed on as models for a 2 billion KRW Japanese endorsement project

6-member female and male idol groups T-ara and Supernova have been signed on as the models for a Japanese CF worth 2 billion KRW.

Coming 2nd March, a press conference will be held in Japan Tokyo to announce the signing on of the groups for the CF. T-ara and Supernova

All this while, it has been hard even for Hallyu stars to get CF endorsements in Japan, and more about the endorsement by T-ara and Supernova will be revealed during the press conference.

An official revealed, “Currently we are not able to reveal the name of the company. We will reveal it during the press conference.”

It has been known that this company is currently one of the more popular companies amongst young people currently, and this will be the largest marketing that the company has come up with since their establishment.

And a Core Media representative also revealed that a minimal of 1 billion KRW guaranteed is given to each of the 2 groups for this endorsement.

In addition, T-ara will be releasing a new song in Japan under the composer who did their song ‘T.T.L 2′ released last year. Coming 1st March they will be doing the recording, and the CF filming will be done in Japan until the 4th.

T-ara will be having their comeback performance on SBS Inkigayo on 28th February and after that they will be flying to Japan where they will stay for the endorsement work until 4th March.

Meanwhile, T-ara will be releasing their 1st repackaged album ‘Braking Heart’ on 23rd February, and Supernova will be releasing their 2nd full length Japanese album on 3rd March.

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk diagnosed with swine flu

It’s been a while we’ve last heard from this fellow. His first name is swine. Last name is flu.

SM Entertainment has revealed that Super Junior’s Eunhyuk has been diagnosed with swine flu.

On the night of February 25th, Eunhyuk had symptoms of a cold so he went to the hospital to get a check up. The results weren’t good as he was confirmed with swine flu the following day and is currently resting at home.

All of Eunhyuk’s activities will be canceled, including KBS FM Kiss The Radio. He will also not be able to attend SNSD’s encore concert this weekend so fellow Super Junior members, Leeteuk and Heechul will fill in instead.

Best of luck to Eunhyuk and let’s hope he has a speedy recovery!

U-Kiss’ Dongho to cruise to high school on full scholarship

Earlier this month, there has been much buzz over U-Kiss’ Dongho’s middle school graduation picture. Now, Dongho will officially become a high school student!

On the 25th, a representative from U-Kiss’ entertainment company revealed, “Dongho has been chosen to receive a full scholarship at his high school.”

Dongho will be starting his high school career on March 2nd at Hanlim Multi Art High School. However, it is still undetermined whether Dongho will be attending the welcoming ceremony at his new school, because ceremony will conflict with the filming of KBS’ Invincible Baseball.

Johnny’s NEWS backs down from TVXQ?

A Johnny’s Entertainment group backing down from TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki? That seems to be the case according to NewDaily.

Johnny’s Entertainment group NEWS was scheduled to release their single さくらガール/ Sakura Girl on March 24th, which happens to be the date in which TVXQ is scheduled to drop their new single Toki Wo Tomete / Let’s Stop Time.

After some discussions, NEWS has decided to delay their release of Sakura Girl by a week. A JRA (Japan Record Association) representative stated, “The reason for the delay by NEWS is probably because they’re afraid to go head to head with TVXQ in sales and on the charts. NEWS has had 11 straight #1’s on the Oricon and that streak could very well be broken if they faced off against TVXQ. For NEWS sake, it was wise for them to make this decision.”

Fans of NEWS have stated that they’re showing weakness against TVXQ and they’re frustrated over the delay. I remember reading the comments section of allkpop back during the Purple Line days and many people stated that TVXQ would never even sniff the level of a Johnny’s Group, my have they grown. KARA reveals secret behind their bodies

Celebrities do not get their gorgeous figures with just a snap of the finger; they actually have to work hard more than anyone else to maintain it. All of the members of KARA have great bodies, and they manage to keep healthy. What is their secret to this? Well, these ladies have finally revealed their diet plan to the public so that you guys to have a great body like theirs too!

As you can notice, the song that lead the group to fame, Pretty Girl, had a very cute concept. Lupin took a 180 degree turn, as they came back with the sexy look. But to pull this off, the girls had to go on a strict diet. The group said, “After finishing our promotions for Honey, we went on a diet. We can’t have the cute concept forever.”

The diet for each member is similar with a few different details tweaked for each member. Reducing the intake of carbohydrates and eating foods with high vitamins is a must and they usually eat chicken breast and sweet potatoes for dinner. Member Nicole wakes up early in the morning to pack her own lunch. She said, “I take note of the calories I take in for each meal. This is the most effective way to control how much you eat. Anyone can succeed if they try and stick to it.”

For the members, dance practice makes up the most of their exercise.

The group then said, “No one forces us to take care of our bodies. Since it is our job, we want to look good to the public, so we do it with our own will.”

1N2D preparing for trip to North Korea

The 1N2D crew is getting ready for another special trip after their visit to Antarctica. They will be going to their neighboring country, North Korea!

The PD of Happy Sunday was interviewed by EDailySPN recently where he expressed, “In 2008, we were planning to film 1N2D at the city of Gaesung in North Korea. We had a good chance of going, but because of the shooting incident at Geum Gang San, it was cancelled. This year, we have decided that we will make a trip to North Korea after our Antartica special.”

The PD then said, “If you think about it, it is harder to go to North Korea than Antarctica, which is farther away. We were sad that we had to go to Baek-du San through China. This trip to the communist country will be the longest we ever had.”

If you didn’t know, South Korea and North Korea are still technically at war and frequent skirmishes between their army, navy, airforce and politics still happen every now and then. This also explains why South Korea requires all their fit men to serve a mandatory two years of service in the army to prepare for a sudden war.

Variety shows like 1N2D are really going to the top these days. At this rate, I don’t think it will be long until the crew visits every country in the world!

Kara’s Goo Hara still looks cute with short hair

NRG’s Noh Yoomin appeared as a guest on a recent episode of KBS’s Invincible Youth.

This once popular idol came to the show with a wig he used to wear back when NRG was active. G7 members jokingly commented that Noh Yoomin looked like your “average idiotic neighbor” with the wig.

Hara, SNSD’s Yuri and 4minute’s Hyuna then became curious about the wig so they tried it on themselves. Later, a picture of Hara and Noh JooHyun wearing the wig were compared side by side, causing much laughter.

Although it was the first time Hara was seen sporting a short bob hairstyle, she managed to pull off the look very well nonetheless.

What do the KARA girls want to steal?

When you are around 10 years old to 20 years old, there should be many things that you would want. Especially in Korea, girls want more than just clothing and fashion accessories. The five members of KARA are between those ages, and their minds are not much different from other girls. With their latest “stealer concept” for Lupin, the ladies were asked what they desired to possess.

Seungyeon and Goo Hara want a: Driving License

The two said that they really wanted their driving license. It seems like Seungyeon had already taken a test for hers a few times. She said, “Taking the driving test for a license takes a lot of time so it might have an affect on our group promotions.” Goo Hara said, “When I get my license, I’m afraid that I won’t be able to switch lanes on the road.”

Nicole wants a: Private Training Room

Nicole said that she wanted a private training room. She even explained about what she wanted in it. On one side, she wanted a mirror, and said that she needed four speakers installed. She also said that having a sofa would be great too, so she can think about things while sitting there.

Gyuri wants a: Keyboard instrument

As the leader of the group, Gyuri gave a leader-like answer as well. Gyuri said that she wanted a clavier in their dorm. She said, “Because our dorm is so small, we couldn’t be able to have a piano, or any other keyboard instrument. When we move to a bigger dorm, I am thinking about getting one.”

Jiyoung wants a: Vacation

Member Jiyoung, who is currently a high school student, gave the most laidback answer and said she wanted a vacation. She will start school again during her promotions for Lupin. This will be very stressful for her, as she has to keep up to not fail, and train everyday as well.

T-ara’s Hyomin wants to be an adult idol

Friday night is nearly upon us and with it brings along another episode of laughter from Invincible Youth.

The cast was preparing food as usual where Kim Shin Young, Hyomin, Sunny and Sunhwa had gathered in the kitchen. They decided to have some fun by imitating their fellow cast members.

Kim Shin Young started the ball rolling by imitating Yuri’s sea lion pose and the bald old man (whose name escapes me) which invoked lots of laughter.

Hyomin who seems to have lots of screen time on the show these days, decided to imitate adult idol Narsha and started scooping up anything (vegetables, etc.) that was round and placed it on her chest which invoked more laughter.

Sunny who was watching all of this in silence, sprung into action by imitating Hyomin’s nasally and helpless voice, “I think I really daebak (success) with my variety sense recently,” which was exactly the same as what Hyomin had been saying in recent episodes and invoking laughter as well.

All of these hilarious moments will be shown on February 26th.

TVXQ’s Toki Wo Tomete to be used for cosmetics brand

As a number of idols make their big comebacks in Korea, TVXQ will be busy making a return of their own with a new single overseas in Japan.

It’s been revealed by AVEX that TVXQ will be dropping a brand new single that will include Toki Wo Tomete (Let’s Stop Time), TVXQ NONSTOP-MIX VOL.2 and Yunho’s solo track Checkmate. Toki Wo Tomete will reportedly be used to endorse MENARD, the internationally-known beauty/cosmetic brand.

Although Toki Wo Tomete was also featured on the BEST SELECTION album, this release combined with the new endorsement has led fans to believe that TVXQ will grace Japan with fresh activities next month.

Meanwhile, the Blue Light DVD version of 4th LIVE TOUR 2009 ~The Secret Code~FINAL in TOKYO DOME is set to be released next month on March 17.

U-Kiss’ Dongho wants f(x)’s Sulli?!

It’s true. U-Kiss maknae Dongho has expressed an interest in f(x)’s Sulli!

U-Kiss members Dongho and Soohyun were on MBC’s Shik Shin Expedition on the 26th where during the episode, Kim Shin Young asked the two which group they had interest in and Soohyun answered f(x).

When asked if a certain member caught their eyes, the two raised their hands together and said, “Sulli.” Dongho said, “Sulli and I are of the same age… do you think it’ll be ok?”

Kim Shin Young teased the two and asked if they wanted her to get her on air, getting Dongho all excited.

When Kim Shin Young asked, “Do you talk to her on the phone?” Dongho didn’t say a word and just smiled, nodding his head bashfully.

What a player… although this shouldn’t come as a complete surprise.

On the February 7th episode of Inkigayo, Sulli had interviewed Dongho when Wooyoung and Taecyeon told them to shake hands.

Dongho was so nervous that he couldn’t even speak properly!

Lee Soo Man resigns from SM Entertainment, Avex sells shares

Edaily SPN reported that Lee Soo Man will resign from SM Entertainment and that Avex Entertainment has sold off all shares of SM Entertainment.

Apparently, SM is stating that Lee Soo Man is resigning so that SM can focus on investments and business development overseas, however I don’t see the correlation between the two events. Regardless, Lee Soo Man will no longer be engaged in business activities, however he will still remain the major stakeholder, acquiring another 1.5% of shares from Avex, making his total share of SM Entertainment, 28.3%.

In addition, the relationship between SM Entertainment and Avex Entertainment seems to be over, as Avex sold all 15.4% of their shares, with Neowizbugs acquiring the majority of it.

Avex Entertainment used to assist in promotions of SM Entertainment artists within the Japanese market, including TVXQ.

SM Entertainment was founded by Lee Soo Man on February 14, 1995.

So what does this mean for TVXQ? We’re not sure, but seeing that Avex Entertainment has sold all of SM Entertainment’s shares, it doesn’t look like good news. However, there is a silver lining in that Avex’s CEO Masato “Max” Matsuura recently blogged and tweeted about how proud he was of TVXQ with their recent accomplishments and achievements (Platinum status and more).

MBLAQ’s Idol Army always brings great entertainment and this weeks episode didn’t disappoint. This week the featured guests included Jewelry members Kim Eun Jung & Ha Joo Yeon, Hong Jin Young and IU. The boys performed various dance moves that thoroughly entertained both the viewers and guests.

KARA’s back with a brand new crib

With the release of KARA’s latest album and comeback track Lupin, the girls have returned with an upgraded, sexier image.

But along with their new upgraded image, they will also be upgrading their living quarters. Originally known for their sloppy and outdated two bedroom dorm, they will now be moving into a new four bedroom dorm, where three members will have their own rooms and two will share a room.

Although they stated that they were fine with their small outdated television and dorm, fans thought they were living rather poorly, being that they are famous idol celebrities.

Let’s hope the girls show off their new dorm after they get settled in and stay tuned to allkpop for their first comeback performance of Lupin on the 25th (KST)!

Oh My! Choi Siwon caught kissing a Lady

Yoo Seung Jun talks about Jaebeom

Yoo Seung Jun (Steve Yoo) recently filmed a movie for a Jackie Chan movie titled “Little Big Soldier (aka Junior Soldiers)”, he spent some time off from his busy schedule in Hong Kong for a brief sit down interview.

Not many of you may be familiar with this man and only know him through our articles so here’s just a memory refresher: Yoo Seung Jun grew up in Los Angeles as a teenager and came to Korea in his late teens to become a singer. He was one of the top K-Pop singers in the 90’s and hit his peak in the late 90s with hits like Passion, Scissors, NaNaNa, I Will Be Back and more.

Things were going good until he hit the mandatory military controversy. Yoo Seung Jun was exiled from Korea when he acquired an American citizenship to avoid doing his mandatory military service. Previous to getting his American Citizenship, Yoo Seung Jun stated many times that he would fulfill his obligation and duty to serve as a Korean male in the military. There was much backlash after this and he was kicked out of the country as this move was seen as a betrayal and he was viewed as unpatriotic. There’s been much controversy about whether he was in the right or wrong and if he even deserved the punishment he got. Recently, people have been comparing this controversy to 2PM’s Jaebeom, but in the latter scenario he left on his own whim instead of being forced out.

Yoo Seung Jun got emotional when he talked about his deportation. He stated that he never really had time to properly explain himself. He hopes that one day Korea can forgive him but for the time being he isn’t expecting forgiveness.

Yoo Seung Jun also shared his thoughts on the Jaebeom situation stating, “My heart goes out to him. I wondered how he could continue on after such an incident. As a young man he made a mistake but if people make mistakes, if given the opportunity of a second chance, don’t you think he could grow and blossom into something much larger?”

If anyone knows how Jaebeom feels, it should be this guy. Hopefully it’s a better outcome for Jaebeom though, Yoo Seung Jun is a touchy subject but I wish him the best of luck and hopefully things will work out for him.

Brown Eyed Girls’ Jea gives goosebumps with Chuno OST

As reported earlier, Brown Eyed Girls‘ Jea scored herself an OST track for the popular KBS drama, Chuno. The song, titled Me-ah (미아), was already played during a scene of the drama, but was not available on online music portal sites until the 23rd.

While Ga-in and Narsha regularly appear in variety shows, Miryo was featured in Lisa’s Shall We Get Married? Jea, on the other hand, has not had her moment to shine–that is, until now.

As expected of the Brown Eyed Girls leader, Jea consistently delivers when it comes to the field of singing. Her vocals, executed flawlessly in Me-ah, is sure to make an excellent addition to the overall drama.

Lee Minho and Son Ye Jin for Personal Taste

With March nearly upon us, it’s the time where a load of new dramas make their debut and we have another one to introduce to you. The new MBC mini series, Personal Taste, starring Lee Minho and Son Ye Jin recently revealed their promotional stills, generating interest among fans.

Just like Lee Minho’s last drama, Boys Over Flowers, he will be romancing his co-star who is older than him by five years off the screen.

The photos were recently taken at MBC Dream Center at Ilsan on the 18th which portrays them living together under one roof as roommates. The story is adapted from a novel of the same name and is about a guy called Jeon Jin Ho who is a straight guy but pretends to be gay in order to become a roommate to his female friend, Park Kae In. Sounds familiar but what matters most is the process.

Personal Taste will premiere on March 31st.
