The boys of TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki has added another record after recently Breaking out on the Oricon with their new single Break Out!
Back in September of 1997, shortly after the tragic death of Princess Diana, Sir Elton John released a single in memory of her titled Candle in the Wind. This single had an initial sales figure of 184,000 units and because of this he held the record for a foreign artist with the most initial single sales. He held this record for over 12 years, but all records are meant to be broken and the boys of TVXQ have taken the record for themselves. The initial sales for Break Out! was a whopping 254,000 units, breaking the old record by 70,000.
TVXQ also broke their own record of having the most #1 singles for a foreign artist as this marks their 7th single to hit number one.
The boys of TVXQ are doing big things in Japan, speaking of big, there’s a big billboard for TVXQ’s Best Selection 2010 in one of of the most trendiest spots of ShibuyaTake out with full credits.
